Thursday Dish
Rapper 2 Chainz is now downplaying not only his recent arrest, but his recent robbery in San Francisco. He says he wasn't robbed, although video clearly shows him running from the crime scene. The Atlanta rapper was later arrested for attempting to board a plane with marijuana and what appeared to be sizzurp. He's made no further comments on his trials. Rapper Kanye West says that the Canadian model who claims she had an affair with him is just looking for fifteen minutes of fame. The woman claims the affair began when West had his security pick her out of a crown during a concert. She says they had a sexual encounter on that occasion and another soon after. She added they've had one since Kim Kardashians pregnancy. Stay tuned as this story develops. Concert promoter AEG Live now says singer Michael Jackson needed them more than they needed him. The company CEO says he had an emotional meeting with Jackson where Michael told him he needed the "This Is It" tour and that he was planning to purchase a home for himself and his children. The man added that the two met the next day and Jackson told him he'd found a place. Meanwhile, the Jackson brothers will be performing in one of the venues owned by the company mother Katherine is suing. There doesn't appear to be a conflict of interest, however. It looks like urban clothing giant Roca Wear has hit a financial snag. The company, which was owned by rapper Jay Z and Damon Dash, is being sued by a New York City wholesaler that claims it skipped out on a six figure debt. iSource New York filed suit against Roca Wear to recover $450,000 left from a $1 million order. In court papers, the company says it manufactured "specially ordered goods" with the Roca Wear brand name and shipped them from Pakistan to the Big Apple in April 2012. The order was fulfilled, but as of last summer payments dried up. Roca Wear had it's ongoing struggles for being exposed for using dog fur to a $500 sales dip and slicing it's staff in half. Even with contracting R&B singer Ciara as a spokes model and partnering with rapper/producer Pharrell Williams and his Billionaire Boys Club and a deal to seal clothing out of the Barclays Center, Roca Wear still hasn't been able to climb out of debt. Jay Z sold the company to Iconix Group for $204 million. He still owns his stake in the company. On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on ABC and "Save Me" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
