Monday Madness

"Alice In Wonderland" topped the weekend box office grossing over 116 million dollars, making it the highest opening weekend in history. "Brooklyn's Finest", "Shutter Island", "Cop Out" and "Avatar" round out the top films of the week. Hollywood's finest turned out for the 82nd annual Academy Awards. Among the winners were, Sandra Bullock,  Best Actress for "The Blind Side", Jeff Bridges, Best Actor , "Crazy Heart",Monique Best Supporting Actress , "Prescious", Christoph Waltz, Best Supporting Actor "Inglourious Basterds". Best Picture went to "The Hurt Locker". It also won for Best Director. It was the first time a female director had ever been honored with the award.  The rehabilitation center where singer Beyonce researched her role of Etta James in the film "Cadillac Records" has opened a comsitology school. The funding was provided by the star, who donated her entire salary from the film to the organization. Rapper Lil Wayne is scheduled to be sentenced for his gun and drug possession charge today. Be sure to check out Fox's "American Idol" as the top female contestants will perform tomorrow and the top males will perform Wednesday. Thursday, viewers will vote for their favorites.
