Thursday Dish

Rapper/actress Queen Latifah graces the cover of the latest issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine. In the article, she discusses her career, her relationship with her family, her manager and business partner Shakim Compare and what she believes men think makes a woman sexy. Kanye West caused quite a stir when he made a guest appearance during Nicki Minajs set on the Brittany Spears tour. The Chicago rapper drove the crowd into a frenzy.  I'm certain Ms Spears didn't like having to follow that tough act. Jay Z took to Twitter to correct a GQ error which stated that the rapper had purchased Pharrell Williams Billionaire Boys Club clothing line. Not true. The two have formed a partnership and will be working on the clothing line together, according to Hova. This won't be the first time the two have collaborated. They worked together on "Change Clothes", "Frontin" and "I Just Wanna Love U". September 13, 2011 will mark the thirteenth anniversary of the death of rapper Tupac Shakur, and to observe the anniversary, XXL magazine will dedicate its upcoming issue to the slain rapper. In the publication's September issue, on newsstands August 16, readers will find interviews with Shakur's close friends and family, including his ex-wife, his biological father and his first manager. The magazine will also feature 62 tributes from living rap artists and an examination into his non-fatal 1994 shooting. Tupac, who has sold over 75 million albums worldwide, was the victim of a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas on September 6 1996. He succumbed to his injuries seven days later. He was 25 years old. While he's serving a two year prison sentence on a gun possession charge, rapper Ja Rule's seventh studio album, "Pain Is Love 2", will hit store shelves on October 11. The project was delayed to be sure that it would be top of the line, according to producer 7 Aurelius. . He says if the album had been released on June 7 as planned it would not be what it is currently. Rapper Lil Wayne has been hit with yet another lawsuit. He and his associates have been hit with a $15 million dollar lawsuit from a Georgia production team, Done Deal Enterprises, who claim that the Young Money crew stole its hit single "Bed Rock" from them. In the suit filed in New York District Court, the the plaintive claims elements of the 2009 hit were stolen from their song of the same name. Wayne and his lawyer have been ordered to appear in court regarding the matter on Oct. 12. It's not the only suit the New Orleans rapper has been forced to address. He's also been sued by several "Tha Carter 3" producers, including Jim Jonsin, Bangladesh and Pay-N-Skills for unpaid royalties. The contestants of "So You Think You Can Dance" will learn who goes home tonight. Fans are in store for yet another exciting episode of the Fox hit. On the tube: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Wipeout" on ABC and "Community" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
