The king of the jungle rules again. "The Lion King" topped the weekend box office once again, earning over $20 million dollars. "Moneyball", "Dolphin Tale", "Abduction" and "Contagion" round out the top five films of the week. Mediatakeout.com has posted photos of rapper Lil Wayne provided by a groupie who says the rapper was the life of the party outside the bedroom, not so inside. One reason could be because he passed out. There's been no response from the rapper's camp regarding the story. In a recent interview with Angie Martinez, crooner Frank Ocean opened up about collaborating with Kanye West and Jay Z on their "Watch The Throne". He said for him, doing the collabo was a no brainer. He also went on to describe his first meeting with Jay Z after being tapped to work on Hova's next solo album before being asked to work on "
Watch The Throne' He says once the two talked, it was fine. The singer, who is also a member of California rap act Odd Future, says he has a solo album due, but wouldn't confirm a release date. He wants to make certain it's right before announcing a release date and it never happens. Reggae star Mavado, who was recently signed to DJ Khaled's We The Best In Music imprint, says a collaboration with Drake in the near future can be expected. He also has plans to work with Lil Wayne as well. Fans saw the reggae star as a villain in Drake's "Find Your Love" video, and as part of his introduction to stateside audiences, he will embark on the "Welcome to the Gully" tour, which kicks off in Rochester, NY on October 15. As if conquering music, film, and fashion aren't enough, singer Beyonce Knowles stated in a recent interview that she would like to launch her own record label. In an interview with the Associated Press, the singer said she's been inspired by male artists who have used their success to help feed the next generation. She said she'd like to create a boy band, and direct music videos as well. The singer is currently promoting her third fragrance, "Pulse". The fall television season has begun, and old favorites will return along with new shows. The remake of "Charlie's Angles" looks to beef up the action quotient a few notches, while "The Good Wife" and others return after keeping fans guessing regarding how the season premieres will go.
