Wednesday Roundup

Soulja Boy has issued an apology to all military veterans and their families after coming under fire for the lyrics to his latest hit. He says the song will not appear on his next album, and his team is currently removing the video of the song from the internet. Although Miami rapper Rick Ross is still working on his next album, one reviewer as already given the project his stamp of approval. Young Money rapper Drake, while sitting in the VIP with Ross during a release party for "Tha Carter 4", stated that "God Forgives, I Don't" is a classic recording along with "Doggy Style" and "Ready To Die". DJ Khaled even gave the upcoming project his seal of approval as well. "God Forgives, I Don't" doesn't have a release date. "Take Care' hits store shelves on October 24. In more DJ Khaled news, the producer/DJ announced on New York's Hot 97 that he's signed Jamaican reggae star Mavado to his We The Best Music Group. Khaled said the VP Records alum, who made a cameo appearance in Drake's "Find Your Love" was a natural fit for the label because of his authenticity. Mavado joins Ace Hood on the roster of Khaled's hit making imprint. Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, the wife of rapper T.I., recently let it be known in an interview with TMZ that she's none too pleased with federal authorities after they took her husband back into custody. It seems they weren't happy with T.I's mode of transportation from prison to a halfway house. Cottle says if they should have spoken up before Tip boarded the bus instead of taking pictures. Before the latest mixup, T.I. was set to serve the remaining days of his 11-month sentence in a halfway house in Atlanta. Those who believe album leaks are a bad thing should talk to Lil Wayne. The Young Money CEO is pleased that new estimates predict his new album, "Tha Carter 4", will sell one million units. He says he's happy the album hit the internet. His associates don't seem concerned either. It seems like their right. On Tuesday, Billboard estimated that "Tha Carter 4' was on pace to sell between 850,000 and 900,000 copies in its first week. HITS Daily Double later predicted that it would sell 975,000 copies. Both estimates put Wayne's sells above the 436,000  Kanye West and Jay Z's "Watch The Throne" moved. It looks like Wayne's flow of Young Money isn't about to stop any time soon. Mobb Deep announced a new deal with Sony's RED Distribution that will ensure that their "Infamy" doesn't fade any time soon. The Queensbridge rap duo issued a press release confirming the new relationship between their own Infamous Records and RED Distribution, the independent distribution arm of Sony Music. No word on when an album will be released. Vanessa and Angela Simmons, daughters of Rev Run of the legendary Run-DMC grace the cover of the latest issue of Jet magazine. The dynamic duo discuss their shoe line and other business ventures they have in the works and their sense of style. The issue is on newsstands now. On the tube: "Buried Treasure" on Fox, "Big Brother" on CBS, "The Middle' and "Minute To Win It" on NBC. Happy hump day!
