Thursday Dish
The fallout from the Drake/Chris Brown brawl continues. The two are now being sued by the New York club where the fight between their respective entourages took place. The club claims The dispute between the two stars over their romantic relationship with a woman, in this case Rihanna, put party goers in danger. In addition, they also say the club has lost a licensing deal. They're seeking $16 million in damages from each star. So far, no comment from Chris Brown, Drake or their camps.. If that's not enough, NBA star Tony Parker has sued the club for $20 million. Parker was among the patrons hurt during the fight. Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian's divorce settlement finally goes to court. Humphries has reportedly subpoenaed rapper Kanye West as well as Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, and NBC Universal, Bunim/Murray, producers of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians". Humphries lawyers want to use the show to prove the wedding was done for ratings. So far, no comment from Ms Kardashian or her lawyer. Rapper Lil Wayne didn't release his new mixtape as promised. He did take to Twitter to apologize to fans and promised they will hear more music from him soon. Rumor has it that singer Ciara and NBA star Dwight Howard are now an item. No comment from the pair. Actor/director/producer Tyler Perry recently stated via his web site that he will be taking a break soon. He'll finish a fall tour and then concentrate on other projects he has in the works. Hopefully, he won't stay away too long. Talent like Perry's is desperately needed in Hollywood. With all the back and forth going on regarding a new Aaliyah album, one person who seems interested in seeing the project come to light is former Rock-A-Fella Records CEO Dame Dash. Dash, who dated the singer before her death, said during a recent interview that he'd love to help with project if asked. The album will reportedly have 13 or 14 new Aaliyah songs, and Drake claims to have received her family's blessing, although a statement was released stating otherwise. We'll see what happens with the project. On the tube: "NFL Preseason Football" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Wipeout" on ABC and 'The Office" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
