Monday Memo

The film "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt 2" topped the weekend box office again, earning over $17 million. "Skyfall", "Lincoln", "Rise Of The Guardians" and "Life Of Pi" round out the top five films of the week. Singer Trey Songz took to Twitter over the weekend to speak out about the tragic murder/suicide of Kansas City Chiefs player Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins. Rumor has it that the couples last argument was about Perkins attending a Songz concert. Songz says the incident had nothing to do with him. He also sent prayers and well wishes to the families. Actor/comedian Katt Williams is facing more legal woes. Recently the embattled star was accused of slapping a Target employee in the face then taking off in an electric cart. No charges have been filed and Williams has yet to comment on the incident. Stay tuned. Chris Brown just can't stay away. Can't stay away from Twitter that is. He's reactivated his Twitter after deleting it a week ago. Photos of he and ex-girlfriend Rihanna hanging out together have surfaced and only time will tell where things will go from here.  Rapper Nicki Minaj has made it clear she's still not happy with radio station Hot 97. She wants the stations program director to stop playing her music, but thus far, it hasn't happened. Oh well. Detroit native, Big Sean is giving back to  his hometown in a major way with a new charity geared toward assisting disadvantaged youth. Big Sean, born Sean Anderson, said in a statement that the Sean Anderson Foundation, to be headed by is mother Myra Anderson and a soon-to-be appointed board of directors, will assist with the education, health and well being of school-aged youth. He announced the foundation at a show in Auburn Hills where he was accompanied by close friends and collaborators Kanye West, Common and J. Cole. All three artist have philanthropic track records of their own, although West closed his own namesake foundation last year. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on ABC and "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Monday!
