Wednesday Roundup
Rapper Rick Ross now says he didn't cancel the remainder of his tour because he's been threatened by some gangsters who told him not to show up in North Carolina if he didn't pay the organization. He also spoke out about his recent encounter with rapper Young Jeezy at the BET Hip Hop Awards. Ross says he tried to choke Jeezy. In the meantime, Ross is reportedly moving his record label to Atlanta and Jeezy has been named Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records. More pictures in connection with Chris Brown and Rihanna have surfaced. A new photo of Chris out shopping with his ex has hit, and it makes one wonder what is going on with the pair. No comment from either. Actor/comedian Katt Williams is not on drugs, but reportedly suffers from bi-polar disorder. He was diagnosed back in 2008. He apparently hasn't been properly treated or has refused treatment and that would explain his recent behavior. Kenya Moore of the "Real Housewives Of Atlanta" reportedly asked Walter to be her boyfriend on the hit reality show, while Walter admitted that he was offered a half million dollars to not only be her significant other, but marry her on the show. No word on whether a relationship between the two will be incorporated into the show. Rapper Wiz Khalifa recently received an honor in his hometown Pittsburgh. Wiz Khalifa Day was declared and he was also named an ambassador. It looks like all is well with Ice T and Coco. The two showed up arm-in-arm at a recent event after photos of CoCo with another rapper surfaced on the internet. The two showed up at the event in matching leather jackets. Rapper Eminem will headline one of the UK's biggest music weekends next August. He's been announced at the top of the bill for the twin Reading and Leeds Music festivals in 2013. The fetes, spread all across the English towns from which they take their name, will be held Aug 23-25. Slim Shady hasn't played Reading Leeds since 2001, shortly after the release of his smash album "The Marshall Mathers LP". No other names have been announced as yet, although the Hollywood Reporter says Black Sabbath, Blur and Artic Monkeys are on the rumored list. Last year, Slim Shady crossed the pond to headline the V Festival in Chelmsford Essex. Public Enemy and the late Donna Summer have been announced as nominees for induction into the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. Artists must have a body of work lasting 20 years to qualify. On the tube: "The X Factor" on Fox, "Survivor: Philippines" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "Whitney" on NBC. Happy hump day!
