Wednesday Roundup
It looks like "Real Housewives Of Atlanta" star Porsha Stewart won't be a housewife for long. Her husband and former Pittsburgh Steelers star Cordell Stewart has filed for divorce citing that the marriage is irretrievable broken. He added that he's not going to pay a settlement because Porsha is an able bodied person who can support herself. Porsha says she was blind sided by the news and heard about it through the media like everyone else. Best of luck to both. Authorities were called to the home of singer Whitney Houston's sister-in-law Pat Houston's home after she left a cryptic message on her Facebook page saying she was going to finally rest. When authorities arrived, they found her past out on her bed with a pill bottle beside her. She says she took some pain medicine for her back and neck and turned her phone off. She was taken to a hospital just as a precaution and later released. In the meantime, singer Dionne Warwick has filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy. She owes the IRS over $10,000,000 in unpaid taxes and only earns 20,000 a month. No word on a settlement. Kanye West is surely not going to be happy with this news. After saying he wasn't with the suit and tie thing, singer Justin Timberlake's new album has sold over 968,000 in it's first week of release. Tickets for Justin Timberlake and Jay Z's upcoming concert have outsold tickets for the "Watch The Throne Tour" by a four to one margin. With the debate regarding same sex marriage heating up, singer Beyoncé has let it be known where she stands on the issue. The pop icon posted a hand written note to her Instagram saying "If you like it, you should be able to put a ring on it". The singer also penned a message to singer Frank Ocean calling him "Fearless, honest and brave" for penning an open letter revealing that his first love was a man. The Supreme Court of the United States is currently in deep debate regarding whether or not California's Proposition 8,defining marriage as "between a man and a woman" is unconstitutional. On the tube: "American Idol" on Fox, "Survivor: Caramoan: Fans Vs Favorites" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "Whitney" on NBC. Happy hump day!
