Tuesday Tales
Be sure to tune in to VH1"s "Behind The Music" as singer Fantashia Barrino discusses with the cable network the fact that her recent overdose was no accident. She says she didn't care about anything and just wanted out. At any rate, the singer is doing much better now. She appeared at a North Carolina club looking healthly and happy. No word on when or if she'll tour to promote her latest album. Chelsea Handler, who will host the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards, stated on Ryan Seacrest's KISS-FM radio show that she'd like to get rapper Kanye West and country singer Taylor Swift together, one year after West interuppted Swift's acceptance speech at the event. We'll see if the feet can be pulled off when the show airs. The MTV Video Music Awards will air on September 12 at 9 p.m. Usher is preparing an abbreviated version of songs that can either stand alone or as part of a deluxe original. His latest, "Raymond Vs Raymond" is still buring up the charts. "America's Got Talent" has turned out to be a mixed bag of hits and misses this season. Only time will tell who will win the grand prize. Fall is quickly approaching and there are quite a few films in the works that are sure to warm up the season. "The American" is just one of a few set to hit theaters soon. Fantashia Barrino has new music in stores this week. On dvd: "The Back-up Plan" and "City Island". On the tube: "Glee" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "Wipeout" on ABC and "Minute To Win It" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
