Thursday Dish

Two weeks after toxicology reports revealed that there was cocaine and metabolites in the system of singer Whitney Houston, the Beverly Hills Police Department has closed the case ruling out homicide as the cause of death. An official coroner's report listed the cause of death as an accidental drowning. Patricia Houston, Houston's sister-in-law, released a statement saying that although the family is saddened to learn of the toxicology reports, they are glad to have some closure. Meanwhile, video has recently surfaced of Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina smoking marijuana with friends. The video shows the teen smoking through what appears to be a bong. The only problem is, the video was shot well over a year ago. The producers of "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta" have announced they've found a replacement for Sheree Whitfield. The replacement will reportedly be Monyetta, the on-again-off again girlfriend of R&B singer Ne-Yo. No word on when new episodes featuring the star will air. Actress Gabrielle Union graces the cover of the latest issue of Jet magazine. She discusses her romance with NBA star Dwayne Wade and the controversy that it ensued, her new film and whether marriage and children are in her future. Jet magazine is on newsstands now. Cable network BET did it again with it's annual BET Music Matters showcase. Held at New York City's Santos Party House, the show featured DJ Quick Silva on the turntables spinning everything from reggae to classic hip hop. The featured performers were Natalie Imani, Gable Roland, Moxie, and Leron Young. Native New Yorker Dolo The Bandit was the only MC of the show and didn't disappoint while delivering the goods on every track along with his band. Fans can follow the cable network on Twitter to find out more about the next showcase. The contestants performed tunes from 2010 to the present on last night's "American Idol", and didn't disappoint, although at this point Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet seem to be two standouts. Be sure to tune in tonight to the results show. NBC's "The Voice" continues its competition as well, with contestants singing for the grand prize. On the tube: "American Idol" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Missing" on ABC and "Community" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
