Monday Memo

The animated film "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" topped the weekend box office once again, earning over $35 million dollars. "Prometheus", ""Rock Of Ages", "Snow White & The Huntsman" and "That's My Boy" round out the top five films of the week. More fallout over the Drake-Chris Brown brawl. Drake may be charged with reckless endangerment in the matter, despite a representative's claim that the rapper left the New York City hot spot W.I.P. before the fight began. In addition, a club goer is suing. The woman was in the V.I.P. section of the club the night of the incident, and suffered injuries that required several stitches, and even had to have a tedious shot. Meanwhile, the club owner was arrested, although he claimed he had nothing to do with the brawl. It appears he had several outstanding warrants for him. No word on a court date. Drake, in the meantime, is not cooperating with the police in the matter, while Chris Brown is. Heaven only knows where things will go from here. Stay tuned.  Singer Mary J. Blige's charity is firing back at the bank that is now suing it for defaulting on a loan. The charity now says that had the bank done it's homework, it would have known the charity was broke, and couldn't possibly pay a loan back. Fans will recall that the bank sued claiming the charity defaulted on a 250,000 loan. Blige did take responsibility in the matter by saying she didn't have all the right people in the right places doing the right things. No word on  a settlement. Congratulations to actress Meagan Good are in order. She and her film executive fiance tied the knot over the weekend. No word on a honeymoon. Fans who caught the Oprah Winfrey interview with Kim Kardashian will be happy to know that the second part of the interview will air next week. Kardashian will discuss the infamous sex tape with Ray J. and other details about her life and career. 16-year-old Chicago native Chief Keef and inked a deal with Interscope Records, according to MTV News. The hip hop newcomer broke the news after performing at the Annual Birthday Bash concert put on by Atlanta radio station Hot 107.9. Keef rose to fame after the video for the single "I Don't Like" went viral following it's release in March. It currently has 6.5 million views on You Tube. The rapper saw his profile rise even higher after fellow Chicago native Kanye West decided to remix the song, originally produced by yet another Chicago native Young Chop for a G.O.O.D. Music version featuring Pusha T., Big Sean and Jadakiss. The MC stated that he liked what Interscope had to say. The fact that the label has 50 cent and Eminem was a deciding factor as well. He was pursued by several labels. Cash Money, Bad Boy, Grand Hustle and Def Jam were all in the running. No word on when fans can expect his major label debut. West Coast rap icon Tone Loc collapsed while on an Austin TX stage on Friday. Temperatures inside the Moody Theater where he performed were over 100 degrees before the rapper took a nose-dive mid-concert. Although heat exhaustion is being blamed, it's also suspected that Loc could have suffered a seizure. A similar incident occurred last fall in which Tone Loc collapsed on stage in Atlanta. Loc returned to the stage thirty minutes later after resting and getting some water. The following night he performed at another Texas venue without incident. The competition continues on "America's Got Talent". Contestants will try once again to impress judges, the studio audience and viewing audience as they vie for the grand prize. On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, 'How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Bachlorette" on ABC and "America's Got Talent" on NBC. Happy Monday!
