Monday Memo

The action/adventure film "Taken 2" topped the weekend box office, earning $50 million dollars. "Hotel Transylvania", "Pitch Perfect", "Looper" and "Frankenweenie" round out the top five films of the week. Singer Chris Brown recently posted a drunken video describing his complicated love life. In the video, the pop star talks about loving two women, his current girlfriend, and ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Meanwhile, talk show queen Oprah Winfrey stated she's not judging Rihanna and believes the singer will go back to her ex because she's at a place of forgiveness. Rihanna's father stated he likes Brown because he's shown him respect and has charisma. Rapper Jay Z wrapped up his final performance at the Barclays Center recently. He brought wife Beyonce out and the two performed "Crazy In Love", driving the crowd into a frenzy, I'm sure. It was a memorable night no question. Rapper Bow Wow may be broke, reportedly. The MC owes $300,000 to creditors for a 2005 Ferrari. While he's yet to comment, it looks like the hosting gig on "106 & Park" happened  just in time. G-Unit fans will be happy to know there's a way they can dress just like the members of the rap crew cheaply. Former member Young Buck's personal belongings have gone up for sale, including articles of clothing. The rapper is currently serving an 18-month prison sentence for gun possession. Vanity Fair magazine has been asked to apologize to singer Janet Jackson. The magazine recently printed a story about Jackson refusing to help pay for brother Michael's funeral arrangements until she was reimbursed the full amount. Her attorney sent a letter to the magazine informing them that she did pay for the funeral, $40,000 to be exact, without asking for reimbursement. Everyone's been talking about the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey drama on Fox's "American Idol", but some may wonder if the drama is real or something being drummed up to boost ratings. Fellow singing competition judge Cee Lo Green said during an interview with TMZ that "this is Hollywood. Hardly anything is legit". He added that he's not worried about the drama's impact on ratings for "The Voice". He says it's entertainment for everyone."Bones" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars Live" on ABC and 'The Voice" on NBC. Happy Monday!
