Tuesday Tales

After the much talked about brawl between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, BET is now insisting it will take greater measures to insure that another brawl doesn't take place. In the meantime, rapper Gunplay confirmed during an interview that he did indeed get into a scuffle with 50 Cent. He says Fif's bodyguards were present, but he dropped two of them during the fight. On a more positive note, 50 Cent and rapper Fat Joe patched up their differences and took the stage together to honor their late manager Chris Lighty. During a recent interview, Joe stated the Violator Management founder always wanted the two to reconcile. The deed was finally done the night of the show. Rapper Lil Scrapper is in hot water. The MC was arrested in Atlanta for probation violation stemming from a 2008 case that forbade him from using drugs and alchol. No word on when he will be released. Rapper Jay Z is celebrating the release of his new video game NBA 2K13, and the soundtrack includes music from Hova, Kanye West and others. In other Jay Z news, Saturday marked the 14th anniversary of the Brooklyn MC's album, "Vol. 2 Hard Knock Life". During a recent interview he told the story of how the album was born out of a meeting with then 17-year-old Swizz Beatz. It seems Hova wanted a different producer for the album, but Swizz Beatz ended up coming in the studio anyway. The two recorded four songs, including "Money, Cash, Hoes" and "Coming Of Age (Da Sequel". The proud father also took time to shoot down rumors that he and wife Beyonce are expecting their second child. He says there's no baby on the way. As the fall television season gets underway, it's going to be interesting to see which shows cut the mustard and which ones are cancelled. Only time will tell. On DVD: "Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection".  On the tube: "Raising Hope" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars: All Stars Live" on ABC and "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
