Thursday Dish

Fans will be happy to know that former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight has been released from prison. $20,000  was posted to spring Knight and this isn't the tip of the iceberg in Knight's legal strife. In addition to numerous traffic violations, his rap sheet includes a nine-year sentence and numerous arrests for physical altercations. As if one lawsuit isn't enough, rapper Drake has been hit with yet another lawsuit claiming he failed to pay a jewelry for services rendered. So far, Drake has yet to comment on the matter. He has another lawsuit pending from a stylist who claims he was not paid for a bill which ran into the thousands. Listeners of New York radio station Hot 97 will be saddened to know that after 20 years on the air, DJ Mister Cee announced his resignation on the air yesterday. The Brooklyn native told listener that leaving was "for the betterment of the station". Hot 97's parent company, Emmis Communications, released a statement to web site BET.com siting "personal circumstances" as the reason for him leaving. Mister Cee has hit with a sex allegation some time back. Another occurred in May when he was arrested for soliciting what he thought was a female prostitute, who was actually an undercover cop. Although the arrest was the third time he was arrested for the same offense, he denied the report, claiming he pulled over to make a phone call when the cop offered him oral copulation. He has also denied being gay and claims an addiction to "instant gratification" with his sexual trysts. Actor/comedian Arsenio Hall's new talk show snagged huge ratings when it debuted. Congratulations are definitely in order. He's been away too long. During an interview on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, rapper/actress Queen Latifah weighed in on female rappers. While she shouted out the likes of Shawna, Da Brat, Missy Elliott and Eve, she doesn't believe today's climate is all that interesting. Latifah said while she thinks Nicki Minaj is great, other artists should be blowing up. On the tube: "The X Factor" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "The Million Second Quiz Live" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
