Wednesday Roundup
A Twitter beef has begun between singer Rihanna and G.O.O.D. Music artist Teyana Taylor. It began when Taylor posted a Instagram video of herself singing Anita Baker's "Caught Up In The Rapture". Rihanna then posted to the same social media site a picture of her hairstylist Yuesf in what has become a signature look for Taylor singing the same song. Taylor, of course, responded via Twitter saying "Don't play wit me@rihanna f*** all this industry s***YOU and I know each other very well. Throwing subs 4 wat?? U got my #, don't show off". Rihanna's fans have of course, gotten in on the beef as well. Taylor quickly responded by saying that the group could bully anyone else but it wouldn't work with her. In the beginning, Rihanna's timeline was out of the direct light. Rihanna refused to mention Taylor until she posted a picture comparing her net worth with the singer's income. Taylor responded with a bit of venomous humor of her own. "90 million dollars & 90 million n*****diving in that s*** box". Taylor tweeted after changing the photo on her Twitter page to feature a photoshopped image of herself in a boxing ring with Rihanna. She used the same photo of Rihanna following her 2009 assault at the hands of Chris Brown. Rapper Kanye West says that rappers are the new rock stars and that he's the biggest star in the world. He added that he's surpassed the level of stardom Michael Jackson reached. Once again hip hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs topped Forbes magazine's cash kings list with an estimated worth of $50 million. Much of this is owed to his Bad Boy Records, Sean John clothing line, Blue Fame marketing agency and a profitable stake in Ciroc Vodka, which he also promotes. He was followed by rapper Jay /Z with $43 million and rapper/producer Dr. Dre with $40 million. Rapper Nicki Minaj was the only female artist to make the list with an estimated worth of $29 million. On the tube: "The X Factor" on Fox, "Survivor" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "Revolution" on NBC. Happy hump day!
