Thursday Dish
Afeni Shakur, mother of the late Tupac Shakur, is suing production company Entertainment One. The company worked on a Tupac album in 2007 but no royalties have been paid. No word on a settlement as yet. As mentioned previously, singer Rihanna and singer/rapper Teyana Taylor have gotten into a Twitter beef. Taylor now says that Rihanna is a cyber bully. From the looks of things Taylor has done some bullying of her own by posting a picture of Rihanna taken after the Chris Brown assault. Hopefully, the nonsense will end soon. Singer Robin Thicke's hit single "Blurred Lines" has topped the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop charts for ten weeks and shows no signs of slowing down. Only time will tell. Rapper Coolio has scored a legal victory. An assault charge leveled against him has been thrown out by a Nevada judge after prosecutors were unable to corroborate the victim's story. In April, Anabella Chatman told authorities that Coolio pushed then punched her during an argument over his bringing another woman to their home. She also accused him of hitting her with his car before fleeing the scene. After being arrested for the altercation, Coolio claimed Chatman attacked him telling Rumorfix.com, "I never laid hands on her. She jumped on me and started scratching my face, which caused me to fall to my knees". Since Chatman changed her story, prosecutors weren't able to prove her case beyond a reasonable doubt. Coolio is touring overseas and hasn't responded to the legal victory. Singer K. Michelle can't escape the rumor mill, it seems. First, celebrity web site TMZ reported that the IRS slapped the star with a $52,000 tax lien, claiming she didn't pay her taxes for 2008 and 2009 when she owed $4, 704.63 respectively. The former star of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" took to Instagram to let her fans, followers and detractor know that everything is under control. Shortly after that matter was settled, Mediatakeout.com reported that it believes the singer is pregnant. On the tube: "The X Factor" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. on ABC" and "Parks and Recreation" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
