Tuesday Tales

It looks like Beyoncé and Jay Z did obtain proper paperwork before their recent trip to Cuba after all. The couple has come under a firestorm of criticism for taking the trip to the island nation due to a U.S. trade embargo. So far, the couple has not responded to the negative comments. In other Beyoncé news, at least, Destiny's Child band mate Kelly Rowland has revealed that their will be a Destiny's Child reunion, sort of. Rowland revealed that both Beyoncé and Michelle Williams will appear on her new single "Talk A Good Game". Rowland also added that she's recorded 70 songs for her fourth studio release and had to narrow it down to 12. The album will also include collaborations with Pharrell Williams and Wiz Khalifa. The album hits stores on June 4. Rapper Jay Z continues to make major moves in the industry. His Rock Nation has joined with Universal Music  Group. Under the new deal, the label will remain independent and will take Rihanna and other artists with it. Hova said in a statement that the deal presents a unique opportunity for the label to operate as an independent with the strength, power and reach of the best major. Congratulations. It's rare that country music and  hip hop collide. Sure, rapper Nelly scored a hit with Tim McGraw some time back, but no one else has had success merging the two genres. Enter LL Cool J and Brad Paisley. The two  have collaborated on a single called "Accidental Racist". The two tackle racial stereotypes that still exists in society. The two Grammy winners also make it clear that the song isn't a gimmick, nor was it done for attention. The next collaboration between the two will appear on LL's album "Authentic". Fans who haven't seen the video for rapper J. Cole's new single "Power Trip" featuring Miguel are in for quite a surprise. In the clip he's involved in a one-sided love affair with an unaware beauty. Miguel is the only obstacle that stands in the way of the MC getting what he wants. After a night of drinks, Cole and some friends end up posted outside the woman's house. Let's just say all doesn't necessarily end well. In a press release regarding the premiere of the video, Cole joked, "no R&B singers were harmed during the making of this video". Fans wanting to hear the North Carolina native give more creative insight into the video should tune in to "106  & Park" on Wednesday April 10 to see the Rock Nation rapper make an appearance. On DVD: "Hyde Park on Hudson" and "The Sorcerer and the White Snake". On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "Splash" on ABC and  "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
