Thursday Dish
NBC and late night talk show host Conan O'Brien finally reached a settlement agreement late Wednesday. The deal is said to be worth about 45 million dollars. 33 million for O'Brien and an additional 12 million in severance payments to staff. Predecessor Jay Leno will reclaim "The Tonight Show" on March 1 after the Winter Olympics. O'Brien won't allow any grass to grow under his feet, however. He will be set to hit televison again on Sept. 1. Rumors have been swirling about Fox being his new home. He and his writing staff will have to work to put together new comedy bits, since bits like "Triumph The Insult Comic Dog" won't be going with him. Yet another round of auditions coninued on "American Idol" last night in Orlando FL. It was another night of the good, bad & ugly on the show, with one contestant being lead away in handcuffs. The Sundance Film Festival begins today and among the films that could possibly walk away with awards are: "Howl", The Runaways" and "Welcome To The Rileys". Arista Records in set to release the 25th anniversary deluxe edition of singer Whitney Houston's self-titiled debut album soon. Be sure to pick up a copy. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "The Deep End" on ABC and "Community" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
