Rapper Fat Joe is out of jail after posting $250,000 bond and pleading guilty to tax evasion. The Bronx born and bread hip hop star failed to pay taxes for 2007 and 2008. He reportedly owes Uncle Sam $700,000 in back taxes. He's scheduled to return to court for sentencing in April. If convicted, he'll serve two years in prison. In other Simon Cowell news, Tate Stevens was the winner chosen on the hit talent show. He'll receive a $5 million recording contract and all the Pepsi he can drink. No word on when his debut album will hit store shelves. Congratulations. During a recent interview with MTV's RapFix Live, rapper T.I. weighed in on the tragic shooting in Newtown CT where 26 people, including 20 children, were killed. Tip stated that some need to readjust their thinking regarding who may be dangerous. You can't judge a book by its cover. He added that he thinks children are off limits because they haven't done anything and have their futures ahead of them. However, if you think Tip is all for gun control, think again. In a separate interview with Hot 97, Tip stated that he's against the ban on assault rifles. He believes criminals still have access to assault weapons and therefore the good guys should have them too. Like most this holiday season, singer Frank Ocean is having some family. But unlike some, his involves $1 million. The singer announced via Twitter that he's being sued by his estranged father for $1 million. Thusday Dish

It looks like rapper Waka Flocka Flame's management company will have to pay nearly a half million dollars to a gentleman who was shot. Some time back, the rapper's bus was reportedly fired upon after pulling up in front of a car electronics store in North Carolina. Now, it appears that what actually happened was a gentleman approached the bus to give a demo CD to Waka, and his security team fired on the man, hitting him in the shoulder. No comment from the rapper regarding the matter. Actor/comedian Katt Williams now says the reason he slapped a Target employee was because the man called him the N word. So far, there's been no comment from the gentleman regarding the matter and no word on a settlement. Thousands of users are threatening to leave Instagram if the company doesn't change its policies. Among their users is Kim Kardashian, along with the rest of her family. She's threatened to leave, and if she leaves, the rest of the family will go with her. Forbes magazine has compiled a list of great musicians under thirty. Those who made the list include Frank Ocean, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and more. Rapper Games latest album, "Jesus Piece" had the lowest charting debut of his career. No word on what he plans to do to help boost sales.  Fans who saw the "Saturday Night Live" episode featuring Samuel L. Jackson weren't mistaken if they thought they heard the f bomb. Jackson now says Keenan Thompson was suppose to cut him off before he said, but dropped the ball. Thompson reportedly told Jackson the incident would cost them money. On the tube: "The X Factor" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "I Want A Dog For Christmas Charlie Brown!" on ABC and "A White House Christmas: First Families Remember" on NBC. Happy Thursday!

Wednesday Roundup

It looks like rapper Chief Keef won't be heading to prison until next year. The hearing regarding his probation has been pushed back until January 28. A judge wants to look at a video of an interview the rapper did to determine if he violated his probation. Rapper Lil Wayne was reportedly involved in a brawl at a Los Angeles radio station's Christmas event recently. The scuffle occurred just as he and another rapper were set to take the stage. While their were witnesses, no one was arrested. It looks like singer Rihanna will be too busy to keep up with Chris Brown. The pop star just purchased a new 25,000 sq ft home with seven bedrooms. Wonder if she'll throw a housewarming party? Oscar winner Jamie Foxx admits he's responsible for rapper Rick Ross landing the song "100 Coffins" on the soundtrack of the film "Django Unchained". He says he introduced Ross to the films director, Quinton Taratino, and the two hit if off after Taratino discovered Ross named one of his albums after an old western. Foxx produced the track, which landed on the short list of nominations for Best Original Song. Fans will be able to find out which song wins when the Academy Awards air in February. Some may or may not be aware that Nick Cannon and Kim Kardashian were once an item. Cannon says he broke it off with Kardashian after she lied to him about the infamous sex tape with singer Ray J. Of course, now everyone knows Kardashian is reportedly close to walking down the aisle with rapper Kanye West and Cannon is now married to singer Mariah Carey. A warning to ladies about botox. Mediatakeout reportedly has pictures of "Basketball Wives" star Tami Roman after a botox procedure, and the result wasn't pretty. Rumor has it that she may have been given too much of an injection. No comment from Roman. Rapper 2 Chainz recently took to Twitter to thank fans for their support after announcing that his debut album "Based On A T.R.U. Story" was certified gold, selling 500,000 copies. Congratulations. Although singer Keyshia Cole isn't the new kid on the R&B block, she recently made it clear that when it comes to her hometown, she's number 1. That's the message the singer sent promoters at for KMEL radio's House of Soul concert in Oakland when she refused to perform at the event after being asked to open for singer The Weeknd. Cole took to Twitter to let her feelings on the matter be known and made it clear she doesn't have any beef with The Weeknd, it was the principle. The radio station asked her to open for him in her hometown. Oh well. Hip hop's golden boy of 2012 has just gone Gold. "good kid, m.A.A.d. City", the critically acclaimed debut album by Kendrick Lamar was certified Gold by the RIAA. The LP sold 500,000 thousand copies on December 13, three weeks after it's debut. Tuesday Tales

Keen ears will notice that rapper Kendrick Lamar sampled Janet Jackson's "Anytime, Anyplace" on his latest single "Poetic Justice".  The rapper says  he'd like to have Jackson appear with  him in the video for the song, and if he could, it would be a blessing. The song's title is also the same title of the John Singleton film in which Jackson starred.  The group Odd Future says the 17-year-old fan now suing them for attacking him during their show in San Antonio says he threw the first  punch. Video of the incident has surfaced, and it clearly shows the fan threw the first punch before receiving a beat down. He took to Twitter to brag about suing the group and promised to post a picture of his check when he receives it. Good luck with the lawsuit. The Quinton Taratino film "Django Unchained" is the third film to cancel it's Hollywood premiere after the mass shooting in Newtown CT. Both the Tom Cruise film "Jack Reacher" and "Parental Guidance" cancelled their premieres as well. Fans looking forward to seeing rapper Meek Mill on tour will have to forget about it. A  judge has refused to lift restrictions on travel as part of his probation from a 2008 gun and drug conviction.  Future has inked a distribution deal with Epic Records for his new label. He said in a statement that he's excited about working with label head LA Reid because he helped gain a great deal of success. Reid will be leaving the hit show "The X Factor" to focus on his job as a label executive. Rapper Lil Wayne is now off the hook with the IRS. He's paid the government agency close to $8 million in back taxes and they've now released the lien on his Miami Beach home. Singer Alicia Keys is being sued by songwriter Earl Shuman. Shuman claims that Keys' song "Girl On Fire" steals a line from his song "Hey There Lonely Girl", which was a hit in the 1960s. No comment from Keys on the matter. It looks like rapper Meek Mill has found new ammunition in his on-going fued with Cassidy. He responded to Cassidy's new single "Condom Style" by calling it the worst song in the history of rapping via Instagram. The track is a remake of "Gagnam Style", the international hit by Korean rapper Psy. Riding on the wave of the song's popularity, Cassidy tweaks the lyrics in his own version turning it into a pro safe-sex anthem. Although the song is infused with humor, Mill says the joke's on Cassidy. In response to the criticism, Cassidy took to Twitter, where he eluded to the big-picture effect of the song. He says if the song causes just one man to strap up or saves one person from getting an STD then the song has served it's purpose. The two rappers have been trading jabs ever since Mill declined a rap battle, saying Cassidy wasn't in his league. Rappers T.I and Chief Keef have new music in stores this week. On DVD: "Picture Perfect", "Trouble With The Curve", "Total Recall" and "Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days". On the tube: "Raising Hope" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" on ABC and "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!

He was placed on probation after pointing a pistol at a police officer. No word on a sentencing hearing. Chris Brown and Rihanna may collaborate on stage as judges soon. "X Factor" creator Simon Cowell says he'd love to get the two on the show next season. Nothing's been confirmed yet, so stay tuned. The members of the rap group Odd Future have all been accused of assaulting a fan during a show in San Antonio. The fan jumped on stage while the group was performing, then the group threw him into the crowd. The crowd then threw the gentleman back onto the stage where the group proceeded to beat him. The incident was caught on tape.  No word on a court date or a settlement. Atlanta rapper T.I. says he is attacking someone on a song called "Addresses", but won't say who. The song will appear on his new album "Trouble Man".  Tip will only say the song's directed at someone he once tried to help. Stay tuned. Rapper Game is now calling for a boycott of Fox News after Fox News personality Michelle Malkin criticized the art work on his new album "Jesus Piece" by calling it blasphemous. Game says however anyone wants to depict Christ is up to them. Good look with the boycott. Rappers dating back to Run-DMC have occasionally released Christmas songs, but how many have spit 16 bars for Hanukkah? Pioneering West Coast rapper Too Short breaks from his usual mode to celebrate the Jewish high holiday on a track released to TMZ. The untiled song finds him enumerating the joys of Hanukkah, including latkes, eight nights of gift giving and tuckus. Fans can listen to the track at TMZ. It was announced via press release that he's inked  a deal with Def Jam Records. The label said in a statement that it's pleased to have a talent like his become part of the family. The Rihanna/Chris Brown saga continues. Recently, Rihanna posted a note on Instagram which referred to lessons learned and moving on. As a result of pleading guilty to attempted grand larceny, rapper A$AP Rocky will get three days community service and a $250. He says he's been under contract with Diddy for 16 years and Diddy finally let him out of it. Ma$e went into retirement after the release of his 1999 album "Double Up' before going into the ministry. He came out of retirement in 2004 with a more wholesome album for Bad Boy, "Welcome Back". After the release of that album, sought to relaunch his career with 50 Cent's G-Unit crew. He says Diddy is to blame for the failure of those plans to solidify. He added that Diddy wanted 50 to pay him what he thought Ma$e owed him. While he's been linked with Kanye West and West did seek him out for an appearance in "Cruel Summer", Ma$e added that he doesn't want to be tied to a long term contract. He added that he'd like to work with Drake. He says Drake reminds him of what he'd be if he hadn't left music. Gordon also reportedly had a gun in the glove compartment of his car, which he's licensed to carry. The mother of slain Chicago rapper Lil JoJo says rapper Chief Keef is partly to blame for her sons death. The two got into a Twitter beef of sorts, before JoJo's murder. The son of the late R&B legend says he doesn't want Kravitz to do the role because the film will only focus on the part of Gaye's life when he was battling drug addiction and financial trouble. The son wants the film to focus on his father's entire life. It looks like singer Chris Brown is in the clear for a cell phone snatching incident that occurred back in February. A fan accused the singer of snatching her cell phone as she took a picture of him while he was leaving  a club. According to TMZ, in an investigation that included statements from Karrueche Tran (Brown's girlfriend at the time), Tyga and the rapper's security guard the evidence wasn't enough to support the case. TMZ's report also included  a statement from the Miami-Dade State Attorney which read that prosecutors had reviewed all evidence and taken numerous statements from witnesses many of whom were interviewed in California, they are not taking any kind of criminal action regarding the incident. This is of particular importance to Brown because if convicted he would have been in violation of his probation for his 2009 assault on Rihanna.
