Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz appears on the cover of the next issue of The Source magazine. The rapper, who emerged as one of the most in-demand rappers in the game after releasing his highly-anticipated debut "Base on a T.R.U. Story", discusses his reinvention to become a rap star. He also talks about his formula for success and the recent birth of his second daughter. The Source hits newsstands next month. After dropping one of the most critically acclaimed debuts of the year, Kendrick Lamar feels vindicated. During a recent interview with RWD magazine, the Compton MC said he feels relieved but not surprised by the reception he's received. He also discussed an encounter with a racist stewardess while on flight. If fans expecting a follow-up to "good kid, m.A.A.d. city" will have to wait, however. The rapper says he wants to let the debut marinate for a while. He doesn't want to oversaturate the market with his work. Singer Tyrese and rap icon Rev Run have unveiled the artwork for their new book, "Manology: Secrets of Your Man's Mind Revealed", which arrives on bookstore shelves on February 13. In "Manology", the two veteran artist and friends, one a married family man, the other a single dad on the prowl offer insight into a man's mind works. It should be the uncomfortable, revealing truth coming from two men who have been around the block a few times. Jay Z isn't the only rapper gracing a stage this New Year's Eve. The other half of the throne, Kanye West announced that he'll be performing his own end-of-the-year concert series at Atlantic City's Revel Resort. West will hit Revels Ovation Hall for a three-night stand on December 28,29 and 30. It will the second time he's graced the stage at the high-end resort after performing there this July. Tickets for the shows go on sale November 30 via Ticketmaster. In theaters this weekend: "Life of Pi", "Red Dawn", "Rise of the Guardians" and "Sliver Linings Playbook". On the tube: "Happiness Is A Warm Blanket Charlie Brown" on Fox, "Frosty The Snowman" on CBS, "Last Man Standing" on ABC and "The National Dog Show" on NBC. Make it a weekend!
