Monday Memo

It was definitely a twilight weekend. The film "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt 2" topped the weekend box office, earning over $141 million dollars. "Skyfall", "Lincoln", "Wreck-It-Ralph" and "Flight" round out the top five films of the week. The American Music Awards aired on ABC last night, and the usual suspects picked up awards. Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and Usher all took home awards. Minaj appeared to be wearing  a diaper at one point, then returned to perform with Justin Bieber. During one acceptance speech, Bieber thanked all his haters for saying he'd be gone in two years when he's still going strong three years later. Singer Bobby Brown was ordered by a  judge to attend two Alcoholics Anonymous classes after being charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license and driving without a vehicle interlock device. Although Brown didn't appear in court for the recent hearing, he does  have a another court date next month. The singer was arrested in Los Angeles for DUI and booked a few months back. This is Brown's second arrest in less than a year. If convicted, he faces up to two years in prison.  Rapper 50 Cent isn't too happy with rapper Chief Keef. The Chicago rapper was due to appear on a video shoot, but was a no show. 50 took to Twitter to let his feelings regarding the matter be known. The tweet was later deleted and replaced with a warning that if it happens again, he'll pull the plug. Chief Keef has apparently been signed to the G-Unit generals label. The hit reality series "Basketball Wives" may be over. The ladies, including show executive producer Shaunie Oneal, are reportedly asking for raises. At one point, it appeared that show new episodes would be shot, but they've begun shooting. Singer Rihanna's new album "Unapologetic" hits stores today. It includes collaborations with Kanye West, Chris Brown and many others. The man who accused actor Kevin "Elmo" Klash of having an inappropriate relationship with him when he was underage and then recanted his story has recanted again. He now says the relationship did occur, but needed to documents reaching a settlement. Many fans have been waiting for a Wu Tang Clan reunion in time for the 20th anniversary of the iconic rap groups debut album 'Enter The Wu Tang: 36 Chanbers". During a recent interview with Global Grind, Clan member Raekwon questioned whether a reunion will happen anytime soon. He stated that there's been discussion about it, but no one thinks it will happen. He added that the group has made a lot of money and lost a lot of money and a reunion could help some members out. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars Live" on ABC and "The Voice" on NBC. Happy Monday!
