Wednesday Roundup

Singer/actor Ray J recently mocked rapper Kanye West while in an airport by pretending to attack photographers waiting to take pictures. Some time ago Ray J recorded a single suggesting that he slept with West's current girlfriend/baby mama Kim Kardashian first. So far, West hasn't commented on the single or incident at the airport. Rapper DMX reportedly owes $1 million dollars in back child support. The rapper has had his share of run ins with the law and other problems. No word on when or how the child support matter will be worked out. Reportedly Jay Z and Beyoncé visited little North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. No word on what if any gifts were given to the infant, but most likely they weren't too shabby. Rapper Rick Ross has reportedly collaborated on a song with Rachel Jentel, friend of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin. No word on when the song will be released. As if R&B crooner Miguel opening at the Palladium in Hollywood isn't enough to be named one of the year's hottest shows, things have just kicked up a notch as newcomer Austin Brown announced via Twitter that he will open the show. Brown is the son of Rebbie Brown aka Rebbie Jackson and nephew of the late Michael Jackson. He released his debut album "Highway 85" to critical acclaim and continued to garner national attention with his brief but sizzling performance on the 2013 BET Awards. The show, presented by Bud Light Music First and Myspace, takes place tomorrow. On the tube: "MasterChef" on Fox, "Big Brother" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "America's Got Talent" on NBC. Happy hump day!

Tuesday Tales

Rapper Nicki Minaj has responded to producer DJ Khaled's marriage proposal. by saying he was joking and that the two are just close friends. Khaled went to MTV to asked for the rapper's hand in marriage, and even pulled out an engagement ring. Stay tuned as this saga continues. Fugees video director Aswad Ayinde will most likely spend quite a bit of time in jail. He's been hit with 27 charges after raping his daughters. Ayinde, who also goes by the name Charles McGill, fathered six children with his daughters over a twenty year period dating back to the 1980's. The 51-year-old former director has nine children with his ex-wife Beverly and at least three other children with two other women in Brooklyn as well. He's best known for directing the clip for the Fugees single "Killing Me Softly". Ayinde will face the first of five trials next month. He's been hit with 27 charges including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, lewdness, child endangerment, aggravated criminal sexual contact and criminal sexual contact. Ayinde kept his children quiet about the abuse by beating them with wooden boards or kicking them with steel-toed boots. No word on when the first trial will begin. Odd Future front man Tyler, the Creator, stated that he wanted to collaborate with rapper Kanye West on a track on his new album, and although West wanted to appear on the track, he wasn't right for the direction the track was going. Looks like business will go on as usual. Rapper Iggy Azalea will return to her homeland to open for singer Beyoncé for the Australian dates of the Mrs. Carter Show Tour. Making the announcement via Twitter, the rapper and Wilhelmina model added that she'll open for the New Zealand dates as well. Answering a few fan tweets, the rapper added that she'll have new staging and costumes designed by Pucci, but has no plans to perform any other shows than those that are a part of the Mrs. Carter Show. She was filled with emotion as she shared the news with fans. Her Island/Def Jam debut "The New Classic" is slated for a September release. The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour kicks off in Australia on October 17 at the Auckland Vector Arena. On DVD: "42". Monday Memo

The superhero film "The Wolverine"  topped the weekend box office, earning over $55 million. "The Conjuring", "Despicable Me 2", "Turbo" and "Grown Ups 2" round out the top five films of the week. As part of her bankruptcy settlement, singer Toni Braxton has lost the rights to several hit songs. The singer has had financial trouble for some time. Here's to her bouncing back. Singer Frank Ocean won't be recording for some time. He reportedly has a tear on his vocal chords. He received the diagnosis during a visitor to the doctor.  The singer had to cancel the remaining dates of an Australian tour. No word on when or if the dates will be rescheduled. Things apparently didn't go well during the Macy's Music Festival in Cincinnati over the weekend. Singer R. Kelly was reportedly an hour late, thus, the crowd got restless as they waited. Kelly performed his set as intended when he arrived. New couple alert. Reportedly singer Kelly Rowland and rapper Pusha T. are now an item. The two haven't commented on their relationship. The adage "perfection takes time" is one that singer Beyoncé may be standing by. The pop star has had fans itching for new music. She's released a few songs including "Grown Woman", "Standing On The Sun" and "Bow Down", posted shots from the studio and collaborated with Jay Z and The Dream, but has yet to announce a release date for her album. MTV News asked what's going on with the album after the Hollywood Reported claimed that she scrapped 50 songs and put the album behind schedule. A representative for the singer denied the rumor, telling the Huffington Post that no release date had been set for the album, which the Destiny's Child alum has been working on while touring. Touring has taken up much of the 31-year-old singer's time. She's been managing herself and set out on the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in April, with the domestic run kicking off in late June. No matter how slowly she takes things, this year has definitely shown the power of Beyoncé. Aside from singing at the presidential inauguration and headlining the Super Bowl half time show, she inked multimillion dollar endorsement deals with H&M and Pepsi, both of which made for cross-promotional efforts by fusing two of the aforementioned singles in their ads. For now, it appears that the album will be released this year, potentially lead by the single "Bow Down". A snippet of the video was released online last week. On the tube: "Raising Hope" on 'Fox, "How I Met Your  Mother" on CBS, "The Bachelorette" on ABC and "American Ninja Warrior" on NBC. Happy Monday!

Friday Facts

Rapper Wale got into hot water while on a plane recently. He was asked to turn his cell phone off by personnel, but refused. He was later escorted off the plane. No comment from the rapper on the incident. Those who use social media should be very careful about what they post. Some time ago, rapper Game accused a former nanny of stealing and lying. He's since Instagrammed a photo with a not so flattering comment. The woman now says that because of his actions, she cannot find work. No word on if any legal action will be taken. Fox is still in the process of assembling its panel of judges for "American Idol". Among those rumored to be joining the show are actress Jennifer Lopez, who left after one season. Former contestant Jennifer Hudson has also been mentioned as a possible addition as a judge on the show. We'll have to wait and see what happens.  Rapper Nas recently participated in the AC360 "Race and Justice In America 2" town hall on Tuesday night, appearing along side guest commentators Tea Party 365's David Webb; the New York Times' Charles Blow; Davenport University's Andre Perry; and BET's Micheala Angela Davis. Nas, who has a hip hop fellowship named after him by Harvard University's W.EB. DuBois Institute and the Hip Hop Archive, indicated that "guilt" and ignorance" are factors in dividing color lines. CNN"s town hall was broadcast over two nights, taking an in-depth look at hidden biases in the nation and inspired by the verdict and polarized reactions to verdict in the George Zimmerman criminal trial in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. In theaters this weekend: "The Wolverine", "The To Do List" and "Fruitvale Station". On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "Camp" on NBC. Make it a weekend!

Thursday Dish

The New York nightclub where the Chris Brown/Drake brawl occurred has been ordered to closed its doors for a week and pay a $10,000 fine. While the brawl spawned several lawsuits, both Drake and Brown have been cleared of any wrongdoing. In more Chris Brown news, the woman who accused him of pushing her down in a nightclub has filed suit against Brown. The woman is seeking $25,000 in damages for physical harm and emotional distress. The club says she's lying about the incident and tried to repeatedly get on stage as Brown was performing before being escorted out by security. Brown hasn't commented on the matter. Rapper Kanye West may not be charged at all after attacking a photographer at LAX recently. Despite the fact that the incident was caught on tape, West won't be serving any jail time. Billboard magazine  hasn't recognized digital sales of rapper Jay Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" via mobile phone giant Samsung. In response, the rapper has called Billboard irrelevant. He still has the No. 1 album in the country, however, with no signs of slowing down. Model/actress Kenya Moore will return to the "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta". She'll receive 60,000 per episode, in addition, she'll also receive a ratings bonus. Congratulations. Concert dates for singer Solange Knowles have been cancelled. No reason has been given for the cancellation. The singer has reportedly been working on a new album, although no release date has been announced. Rapper Eve recently announced she'll be hitting the road beginning in August to support her latest album "Lip Lock". It's the first time she' s promoted a project since 2002's "Eve-Olution". She says she's evolved and that there's something on the album for those who loved her during  her Ruff Ryders days. On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "/The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Wipeout" on ABC and "The Winner Is..." on NBC. Happy Thursday!

Wednesday Roundup

Singer Chris Brown is partially off the hook for a fender bender he was involved in recently. He was only charged with leaving the scene. Driving with an expired license and no insurance charges have been dropped. Brown hasn't commented on the matter. In the meantime, the paint job on Brown's car reportedly cost about the same as the car itself.  It looks like producer Timbaland will have to apologize once again. After issuing an apology to rapper Jay Z for his behavior during the recording of "The Blueprint 3", he may  have to issue an additional apology for comments he made regarding the Drake/J. Cole collaboration. Meanwhile, Drake took to his web site to announce that his verse on the song was removed and issued an apology for the offensive lyrics. J. Cole issued an apology as well for lyrics that offended the autistic community. Drake added that the matter has been a learning lesson for both artist. Some good news for both Chris Brown and Drake. A judge has  thrown out a $16 million dollar lawsuit stemming from a brawl between their entourages at New York City nightclub W.I.P. last June. The suit was filed by Entertainment Enterprises, which owes neighboring hot spot Greenhouse nightclub. The owners alleged that the incident inside W.I.P. resulted in damages to their finances and reputation. The judge disagreed, however, throwing out the suit and absolving both parties of any financial liability. Drake and Chris Brown's brawl spawned other lawsuits, among them NBA star Tony Parker, who was present at the time of the incident. W.I.P. moved to have  his suit dismissed. The recent dismissal comes with a series of upswings for Brown. Over the weekend, he handed out 1,000 pairs of Reebok sneakers to kids in Compton and released a new single called "Love More" from his forthcoming album "X" featuring Nicki Minaj. On the tube: "MasterChef" on Fox, "Big Brother" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "America's Got Talent" on NBC. Happy hump day!

Tuesday Tales

It looks like more entertainers will be joining singer Stevie Wonder in boycotting the state of Florida after the verdict in  George Zimmerman trial. Wale, Usher, along with Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, The Rolling Stones and many more have reportedly vowed to not perform in the state or any other that has a Stand Your Ground law in effect. It looks like rapper/producer Jermaine Dupri  will have to hand over cash for a Lamborghini he's apparently missed a few payments on. The dealership will have to wait in line, however. Dupri owes a huge IRS debt that he has yet to pay. Stay tuned. Actor/comedian Kevin Hart is being sued by a nightclub that claims he skipped out on a gig. Hart was set to host an event at the club, but reportedly nixed the idea in favor of hosting another. The club is seeking damages. Singer Beyoncé had something special planned for fans on the Detroit stop of her Mrs. Carter World Tour. She added the late Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" to her set. Although rich in history, the city of Detroit has amassed a $18 billion debt, which led to a recent bankruptcy filing, make it the largest U.S city to do so. Thus, Mrs. Carter's rendition of the 1963 classic was right on time. She was flanked by images of Aretha Franklin, Eminem, Kid Rock and other Detroit natives who've contributed to the city's rich musical history. The song choice was also fitting in light of the recent discussions regarding race brought forward by the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Cooke penned "A Change Is Gonna Come" in response to the racial inequality felt strongly in the south. The song later became a representation of the Civil Rights Movement. During a previous show, Beyoncé held a moment of silence for the slain teenager. Similarly, Mr. Carter, aka Jay Z, also used the stage to honor Martin. He and  his Legends of Summer Tour partner Justin Timberlake dedicated "Forever Young" to Martin during their show at Yankee Stadium on July 19. The following day he and Beyoncé stood by Martin's mother Sabrina at one of 100 rallies held nationwide. On DVD: "42" and "Evil Dead". On the tube: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "Extreme Weight Loss" on ABC and "Hollywood Game Night" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!

Monday Memo

The film  "The conjuring" topped the weekend box office, earning over $41 million dollars. "Despicable Me 2", "Turbo", "Grownups 2" and "Red" round out the top five films of the week. Singer Kelly Rowland is back on dry land after she and some friends were rescued when the boat they chartered become disoriented while the group was whale watching. The Coast Guard was able to "triangulate their position" and veer the vessel back on track, but then it broke down just four miles from their destination. A commercial towboat was called in to get the boat back to shore. Rowland later tweeted that she was  thankful when the ordeal was over adding "Hope you guys had a great weekend".   Rapper Future's child support issues continue to mount. A second woman who claims he fathered he toddler son is seeking monthly support and back pay. Brittni Mealy filed suit against the rapper on December 4, 201, but dropped the suit a month later.  Future filed documents of his own admitting that he is the child's father and asking for joint custody and asking the court to determine his child support payments. However, Brittni Mealy says that's not enough. In addition to monthly payments she wants back pay for the months of June and July. This latest drama popped up amid a similar discrepancy the rapper is facing with another woman, Jessica Smith, with whom he's currently in a court battle as she seeks more support for their 10-year-old son. The rapper has reportedly been dating singer Ciara. Although she's been coy, she's stated that he's her 'best friend" and photos of the two during private moments have gone viral.   Actress Rae Dong Chong is now doing damage control after comments she made about Oprah Winfrey hit headlines. In a video tapped statement she now says that she didn't mean to call Winfrey the N word. Sounds like someone is looking for attention. On the tube: "Raising Hope" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Bachelorette" on ABC and "American Ninja Warrior" on NBC. Happy Monday!

Friday Facts

All that glitters isn't gold and all that glitters isn't a part of the Diamonds World Tour either. Two men have been accused of posing as reps for singer Rihanna with connections to Lady Gaga and duping concert promoters out of more than $2 million, according to CBS. Sylvester Vincent Carroll, 47 and Meceo McEaddy (aka Ray Ennis), 38 of New York, were indicted on felony grand larceny and scheme to fraud charges. According to prosecutors, since 2010 the two men have tricked Brazilian concert promoters out of $1 million for a series of Rihanna shows in Rio De Janeiro and raked $500,000 for promising that Lady Gaga would perform at a private party in Cancun. McEaddy also faces criminal tax charges and is accused of pulling in money for a fake KeSha show in Taiwan and another phony Lady Gaga show in Long Island. According to the New York Post, the men used the money for jewelry, car payments and travel. Bail was set at $650,000 for Carroll and $1 million for McEaddy. During a recent interview, actress Rae Dong Chong made some disparaging remarks about Oprah Winfrey. Among other things, Chong stated that the way Winfrey looks now is how a housekeeper would look. She added that Winfrey would be the house N*****. Winfrey has not responded to the comments. Sounds like Chong is trying to garner attention. The ex-wife of  actor/comedian Kevin Hart is finally speaking out. She stated that she was there before Hart became successful. She added that the divorce and Hart's flaunting of a new girlfriend hurt. When asked if she wished she were in the new woman's shoes she replied no. In theaters this weekend: "The Conjuring", "Red 2", "R.I.P.D" and "Turbo". On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "Undercover Boss" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "Camp" on NBC. Make it a weekend!

Thursday Dish

Rapper Cory "C Murder " Miller has been hit with a liability suit in the death of 16-year-old Steve Thomas. Miller was convicted of the teen's murder in 2003, but the conviction was tossed out when it was discovered that the prosecution withheld criminal background information on key eyewitnesses. The  prosecution denied any wrongdoing and retried Miller. He was convicted in 2009, and continues to serve his sentence. The family is seeking unspecified damages. It's unclear how much, if anything at all, the family will get. Rapper Chief Keef will be required to pay child support after the mother of his child claimed that he skipped out on payments. The Chicago rapper hasn't commented on the matter. Mobile phone giant Samsung has denied that rapper Jay Z' "Magna Carta Holy Grail" app invades the privacy of users. The company stated that it isn't using customers personal information for marketing purposes but for communications purposes. Meanwhile, rapper/producer Timbaland has apparently made such an effort to apologize for a riff between he and Jay during the recording of "The Blueprint 3" that he's written and recorded a song apologizing again.  It's not a good idea to go at singer Rihanna. Video of the pop star at a recent concert has surfaced showing a fan throwing a bag of chips on stage. The singer, of course, promptly stopped the show momentarily to reprimand the fan. Singer Bobby Brown has made it clear that he's none too pleased with the recent engagement of daughter Bobbi Kristina and her boyfriend Nick Gordon. It's unclear what the reason for the unhappiness is. On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Wipeout" on ABC and "The Winner Is..." on NBC. Happy Thursday!

Wednesday Roundup

Autopsy reports indicate that "Glee" star Cory Monteith died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol. The actor talked about  his struggle with addiction shortly before his death. He indicated that he'd been addicted since the age of 13. He was found dead in his hotel room in Canada. Singer Chris Brown isn't letting the fact that a judge recently revoked  his  probation get the best of him. He was seen partying at the Playboy mansion recently. No word on whether he had a date. Rapper Nas has become a scholar of sorts. The Hip Hop Archive and Harvard University's W.EB. Dubois Institute announced the "Nasir Jones Hip Hop Fellowship", which will give scholars and artists who demonstrate exceptional creative and scholastic abilities to show that education is real power. The goal of the fellowship is to unlock ideas aimed at enriching hip hop traditions while respecting the culture's foundation of critical insight. Nas said in a statement that he's excited about the fellowship. Nas released his debut album "Illmatic" in 1994. At 19-years-old, he brought to life images of inner city living deep behind the walls of a public housing project infested with drugs and violence. The album went on to sale 59,000 copies in it's first week but was certified platinum in 2001. He has released 11 studio albums, the most recent being 2012's  "Life Is Good", which earned him a Grammy nomination at this year's ceremony. If actress Lindsey Lohan has her way she'll receive $2 million for an up-coming interview with Oprah Winfrey. No word on whether a deal has been reached. After taking quite a bit of heat for the incident some time ago, rapper Lil Wayne as edited out the flag stomping scene from his "God Bless America" video. The original clip showed the America flag being lowered and Wayne stepping on it. Wayne said via Twitter and Facebook that he didn't step on the flag intentionally. He's currently crisscrossing the country with T.I. and 2 Chainz on the "America's Most Wanted " tour, which ends September 1. He'll head out on a European run with Mac Miller. On the tube: "MasterChef" on Fox, "Big Brother" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "America's Got Talent" on NBC. Happy hump day!

Tuesday Tales

More legal trouble for singer Chris Brown. A judge has revoked his probation after he reportedly left the scene of a fender bender some time ago. While Brown remains free, if convicted, he could face up to four years in prison. Brown tweeted about the court proceedings saying he did what he was supposed to do at the time of the incident. Rapper Jay Z is finally opening up about his beef with producer Timbaland. Jay says when the two collaborated some time back Timbaland wasn't as focused. Timbaland now agrees. Guess all is well now. In other Jay Z news, the rapper has received his first No. 1 album in the UK with "Magna Carta Holy Grail". Just in time for the European leg o his upcoming tour.  Rapper Lil Wayne is now apologizing to the family of slain teenager Emmett Till. Some time back the Young Money Entertainment CEO received backlash over his verse on fellow rapper Future's single "Karate Chop". The Till family lashed out at Wayne over the offensive lyrics. During a recent concert, Wayne performed the song, but replaced his distasteful lyrics with an apology. Emmett Till was a 14-year-old Black teen from Chicago who upon visiting relatives in Money Mississippi was abducted, tortured and thrown in a river by two white men for allegedly whistling at a white woman. His body was discovered three days later. The teens mother refused a closed casket , letting the world see her son's mangled and unrecognizable face. His murders were acquitted of all charges after the jury deliberated for just over an hour.  ABC's "The View" co-host Barbara Walters confirmed that actress Jenny McCarthy will join the show. Although when it will be made official hasn't been confirmed, it should make for interesting conversation between the ladies. Chris Brown and Pusha T have new music in stores this week. On DVD: "Evil Dead". On the tube: "2013 MLB All Star Game Live" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "Extreme Weight Loss" on ABC and "Hollywood Game Night" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!

Monday Memo

The film "Despicable Me 2" topped the weekend box office once again, earning over $44 million dollars. "Grown Ups 2", "Pacific Rim", "The Heat" and "The Lone Ranger" round out the top five films of the week. Like many in America, singer Beyoncé was stunned upon hearing the verdict in the Trayvon Martin trial. The pop star held a moment of silence for the slain teen during an encore of the Nashville leg of her Mrs. Carter World Tour, followed by renditions of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and her own hit "Halo". The verdict, acquitting George Zimmerman of all charges relating to the death of the 17-year-old, was handed down just before 10 p.m. EST on Saturday, during Beyoncé's show. "I would like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon", the singer said upon hearing the verdict, according to the Associated Press. The superstar  joined a tidal wave of emotion from stars, ranging from despondence to outrage, over the decision, made by the jury to find Zimmerman not guilty. The trial, which began on June 10, ended with closing arguments on Friday. The jury of six women, all mothers, deliberated just over 24 hours before reaching their verdict. Rapper Lil Reese, aka Tavares Taylor, was arrested on Saturday for possession of marijuana and violating his bail bond, according to the Chicago Tribune. Police were on patrol in an area of Englewood California, an area known for gang conflicts, when they spotted Taylor standing on the side walk with persons known as gang members. Police report seeing Taylor drop four grams of the drug on the ground when he saw them approaching. A search found that he had $2,000 in cash on him. The reporting office later wrote that Taylor admitted to having the drugs. Taylor was denied $10,000 bail. This makes the Glory Boyz Entertainment/Def Jam signee's third run in with the law. There was a warrant out for his arrest on criminal trespassing charges after he was caught sleeping in a car in Champaign County, Ill, back in April. Also, that same month, he was stopped in Chicago and charged with not signaling, driving without a license and driving without insurance. Last year, he was tried in the court of public opinion when an old video of him beating a woman went viral. According to a pic on his Twitter, he may have been in Englewood to shoot a video. The pic was linked to the note, "Cumin soon. /FreeTheGuyz"...#300. On the tube: "Raising Hope" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother"on CBS, "The Bachelorette" on ABC and "American Ninja Warrior" on NBC. Happy Monday!

He was charged with driving under the influence of marijuana. The incident occurred in the gated community where Bieber lives. Neither Bieber nor Lil Twist have commented on the matter. Back in March, the rapper was stopped for speeding in Bieber's white Ferrari. Rapper Lil Scrappy has released and dedicated a song to slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin. The rapper speaks of seeking justice for Martin, even to the point of physical violence. Not a good idea. Meanwhile, the jury in Martin's murder trial will hear closing arguments today. Martin was shot by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman while returning home from the store. ABC's "The View" co-host Sheri Shepard recently hinted that actress Jenny McCarthy could possibly join the show soon. Nothing's been confirmed so stay tuned. Singer Rihanna is apologizing to students of Barrington  High School in Chicago with a $5,000 check after showing up late for an appearance in March. The money donated will counterbalance the cost of her unpunctual visit. She was scheduled to arrive at the institution at 1 p.m., but didn't arrive until 5 p.m., blaming Chicago traffic for her tardiness. According to Billboard, the singer traveled to Chicago's northwest suburbs after students at Barrington High School won her "Shine Like A Diamond" video contest. The students shot a five-minute short film highlighting the schools volunteer and community service efforts. The students were awarded free concert tickets, CDs and signed Rihanna merchandise for her tardiness. Billboard says whatever cash is left over will be allocated for the students at the school. Thursday Dish

Rapper Jay Z recently turned his single "Picasso Baby" into a work of art itself. He performed the track for onlookers for six hours straight at Pace Gallery in New York City. The performance, which was taped for use in an upcoming music video, will became a piece of performance art onto itself. In other Jay Z news, it looks like Hova is well on his way to his thirteenth No. 1 album, as "Magna Carta Holy Grail" has already sold millions since its release. The Brooklyn MC also set the record straight regarding an incident involving actor Robert DeNiro some time ago. It seems that  DeNiro called the rapper, only he never received a return phone call. Hova says he treats those as they behave. No comment from DeNiro. Wife Beyoncé, meanwhile, responded to critics who say she's a hypocrite for supporting First Lady Michelle Obama's fitness campaign while endorsing soft drink giant Pepsi. Bey says she's always believed in balance. Singer Rihanna continues to make moves in the industry. She's adding her star power to Budweiser's Made For Music global campaign. The singer joins the likes of Jay Z and Justin Timberlake in Anheuser-Bush InBev's branding efforts. According to Ad Age, the marketing push will reach 85 countries via social media, television commercials and limited edition beverage packing, as well as sponsorship for Rihanna's and Jay Z's concerts. To introduce the campaign, Budweiser debuted two new 30-second "Dreams Are Made" ads, one of which features Rihanna switching hats from director to performer while her single "Right Now" plays in the background. Jay's spot features his single "PSA" and follows the Brooklyn native from the studio to the stage. Both ads will air in the U.S., Brazil and Canada before expanding to other markets. Both Rihanna and her Rock Nation boss have millions of Twitter followers and have sold millions of records worldwide. They each even made Forbes magazine's 2013 Celebrity 100. On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, "Wipeout" on ABC and "The Winner Is" on NBC. Happy 'Thursday!

Wednesday Roundup

It looks like Damon Dash, former co-CEO of Rock-A-Fella Records , won't be able to count on former business partner Jay Z for help with his IRS debt. Jay Z reportedly stated he still has love for Dame, and stop just short of saying he won't help his former friend with his obligation. Rapper Kanye West has let it be known that he's not happen about the fact that the video for  his single "Black Skinhead" has been leaked. He took to social networking site Twitter to ask the individual responsible for the leakage to take the clip down. He added that the real version of the clip will air in  a few weeks. Singer Rihanna is still in the business of posting photos of herself over the internet. As mentioned, she posted photos of herself on a beach in Poland. She recently posted more photos. Rappers Master P and Soulja Boy have made GQ magazines worst rapper list. Despite their success, each was called for their MC skills. What's ironic is that while Master P was never the most skilled rapper, he's isn't the worst rapper in his family. His younger brother Silkk The Shocker never made the list. Kevin "K-Fed" Federline came in a No 5 on list, while 90's rap icon Vanilla Ice took the No. 4 spot. Chet Hanks, (son of actor Tom Hanks), reality star Spencer Pratt and horrorcore rappers Insane Clown Posse took the top three positions. The list also included Diddy, Chingy, Will Smith, Too Short and Eazy E. Katt Williams once said that if you don't have haters, you must not be doing enough.
