Tuesday Tales
The release date of rapper 50 Cent's next cd, "Before I Self Distruct" has been pushed up. In response to the leaking of the disc, 50 has pushed the release date up to November 16. The digital version will be available on November 9. The rapper will also release a film of the same title as well. It will be his directoral debut. The rapper is in the middle of completing a promo tour for both the cd and film. Block Entertainment has announced that it has left Bad Boy Records and will team up with Capitol Records to release the new project by rapper Kollosus. The label has released several albums by Boyz N Da Hood and Gorilla Zoe, to name a few. A suit was filed against the label head and Bad Boy for unpaid advances and royalties. There has been no update on the suit. Although it's only been in release for two weeks, there is serious Oscar buzz going around about the Michael Jackson documentary, "This Is It". We'll see what the outcome will be. There is also a huge buzz building around the film, "Prescious". The film stars comedian/actress Monique as a abusive mother. No word on a release date. Foo Fighters, Weezer, Slayer, Ryan Leslie and Amarie have new releases in stores this week. On dvd: "G. I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra" and "The Taking Of Pelham 123". On the tube: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "V" on ABC and "The Biggest Loser" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
