Wednesday Roundup
It looks like the rumor that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is leaving the band for a solo career was just that, a rumor. Tyler was seen onstage with the Joe Perry Project at a show in New York. He stated to the crowd that he's not leaving the band and then went into their 1975 hit, "Walk This Way". Tyler recently indicated that he was pulling out of the band and bandmate Perry stated on Twitter that the band was looking for a new lead singer. The Jackson family is gearing up for the premiere of their new A & E reality series, "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty". The show will begin airing next month. According to Universial Music Group's website, rapper Lil Wayne's rock effort, "Rebirth" will be released on December 15. The set's first single, "Prom Queen" reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in April. Teen queen Taylor Swift is slated to go up against several of her elders at tonight's "Country Music Awards". The big question is will she win the coveted "Entertainer Of The Year" award. Also, if former Hoodie & The Blowfish front man, Darius Rucker wins, he'll be the second African American after Charlie Pride to win "Male Vocalist Of The Year". Be sure to check out "Unsung" this Sunday on TV One. This week's episode will be the story of Bootsy Collins. On the tube: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox, "The New Adventures Of Old Christine" on CBS, "The 43th Annual CMA Awards" on ABC and "Mercy" on NBC. Happy hump day!
