Monday Madness
"Shutter Island" topped the weekend box office raking in 40.2 million dollars. The film is the second pairing of actor Leonardo DiCaprio and director Martin Scorsese. It topped the duo's last collobaration "The Departed". "Valentine's Day", "Avatar", "Percy Jackson & The Olympians" and "Wolfman" round out the top five films of the week. Be sure to tune in to Fox's "American Idol" tomorrow as the top 24 contestants have been chosen. The ladies will perform tomorrow, the gentlemen will perform on Wednesday and viewers will get to vote on Thursday. In case you've been wondering what rapper T.I. has been up to since his release to a half way house last December, wonder no more. It seems Tip has been keeping busy in the studio working on a new cd and working with the latest signee to his label, Grand Hustle, B.o.B.. The rapper recently stated that he and the Grand Hustle general collobrated on a track for his album and Tip's next release as well. B.o.B.'s album is scheduled for release in April. Singer Fantasia Barrino recently received a threatening letter from someone claiming to have worked as a security guard during her "American Idol" days while going through mail after a performance of "The Color Purple". The letter reportedly not only included racial slurs, but also told the singer to "go back where you came from". It's unclear whether the singer knew the person or not. The theater has increased security around the singer and contacted the LAPD as well. On the tube: "House" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Batchlor: On The Wings Of Love" on ABC, and "Winter Olympics" on NBC. Happy Monday!
