Wednesday Roundup

The top 12 women performed on Fox's "American Idol" last night, and some did well, while others bombed. As I've stated previously, I believe the show has recently become about who viewers really like, rather than about who technically is the best singer. Tonight, the top 12 men perform and it's anyone's guest who will give the best performance of the evening.  On Thursday two men and two women will be voted off the show. The publicist for actor Charlie Sheen has announced that the actor has entered rehab thus, putting the hit show "Two And A Half Men" on hiatus, temporarily. The publicist asked for privacy for the embattled actor. Back after a long hiatus, singer Sade has a top selling cd on the charts called "Solider Of Love". No word yet on whether the singer will embark on a tour in support of the cd. It's great to have her back just the same. It's been too long. Singer Whitney Houston is on tour and recently came under fire for a performance in Australia. The singer took the stage in a mimi dress covered by a trench coach and gave a breathless performance. We'll see what happens with that. On the tube: "American Idol" on Fox, "New Adventures Of Old Christine" on CBS, "Modern Family" on ABC and "Winter Olympics" on NBC. Happy hump day!
