No word on when the film will hit theaters.  For the third year in a row, actor/comedian Mike Epps will join Afeni Shakur, mother of slain rapper Tupac Shakur, to host a celebration of the slain rapper's life. This year will commemorate what would have been Tupac's 40th birthday. The event will be held at the Atlanta Symphony Hall on June 16, which is not only Tupac's birthday, but will also be DeKalb County's official Tupac Day. In addition to a performance by headliner Erykah Badu, the event will include performances by Too Short, Roy Ayers, Bun B., 8 Ball & MJG and Eric Roberson. There's currently an investigation into police escorts to stars underway. Records show that several celebrities have received them including Jay Z, Charlie Sheen and Bill Gates.  New York City Police Chief Cathy Lanier says the escorts violate department protocol, as escorts are reserved for government officials and foreign dignitaries, unless otherwise approved. The escorts were discovered after a tweet from Charlie Sheen. It looks like rapper Eminem will not receive a pay day from the lawsuit against his record label Universal Music Group after all. Since the rapper declined to participate in the lawsuit, he would have to go to court or negotiate with his record label. Rapper Nelly announced on the "Today Show" that he plans to have a new album in stores by the end of the year. While appearing on the show to promote his new fitness DVD "Celebrity Sweat" , he told "Today Show" hosts Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb that he's going into the studio. The St Louis rapper recently finished shooting the video for Keri Hilson's "Lose Control", the next single from her album "No Boys Allowed". Haley Reinhart was voted off "American Idol" last night. It's down to the top two finalists, and the show gets more exciting by the minute.
