Wednesday Roundup

As fans know, rapper Young Buck's SUV was shot at in Nashville TN, the MC's hometown recently. He was not harmed and his female passenger was treated and released from the hospital for a gun shot wound to the shoulder. Now rumor has it that he and his girlfriend got into a heated argument at a local club some time before the shooting. Authorities have no suspects and no arrests have been made. Reportedly, Antoine Cook, the father of singer Fantasia's son, has been seen with his ex-wife. The two have been seen looking quite cozy and only time will tell where things will  go from here. At any rate, best wishes to all. Rapper Ja Rule is in hot water. He reportedly broke a prison rule by using a phone to call a radio station on his birthday. The rapper is currently serving time for a gun possession charge, and by all accounts, has not been in any trouble within the prison until this latest incident. There's been no comment from Ja Rule or his representatives. Bobbi Kristina Brown has released a statement saying she will grant Oprah Winfrey an interview because she is a close family friend who has never been malious to her mother. The interview will air on Sunday. In other Whitney Houston news, singer Brandy has decided to honor the pop icon by titling her highly anticipated new album "Two Eleven". It not only represents her birthday, but the day the gone-too-soon singing sensation died. Brandy has released the video for the single "It All Belongs To Me", her duet with fellow R&B songstress Monica. It's the first time the two have collaborated since 1998's "The Boy Is Mine". Brandy's new album is due in stores in June. Cable network BET is rolling out a star-studded line up for it's upcoming Music Matters showcase. Rapper/producer Timberland will host the event, which will feature performances by hip hop acts Big Sean, MGK, Kendrick Lamar, Big K.I.R.T., Stalley, and Don Trip. R&B will be well represented by Marsha Ambrosius and Miguel. The BET Music Matters showcase will kick off on March 15 at The Stage On Sixth. The competition continues on Fox's "American Idol" as the finalists take the stage for votes. It's sure to be an exciting season for the studio audience and viewers as well. Be sure to tune in.
