Monday Memo
The dark knight rises. The film "The Dark Knight Rises" topped the weekend box office, earning over $30 million dollars. "Total Recall", "Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days", "Ice Age: Continental Drift" and "The Watch" round out the top five films of the week. The attorney representing Janet, Rebbie and Randy Jackson has released a statement saying that the executors of Michael Jackson's estate are causing the recent family discord. As fans now know, matriarch Katherine Jackson was reported missing, while being whisked away to a resort in Arizona, while her grandchildren weren't notified where she was. Temporary guardianship of the children was granted to grandson TJ Jackson, Tito Jackson's son. A short time later, papers requesting joint guardianship of the children were filed. Hopefully, the discord will end soon. Mark DeBarge oft the DeBarge family will serve six months in prison for drug possession. A new single featuring Drake and the late Aaliyah titled "Enough Said" has been released, and by all accounts, not everyone is feeling it. Producer Timberland, who worked with the singer before her death, stated that anyone willing to do an Aaliyah single can't do it without he and Missy Elliott. Upon hearing the single, I must say I don't believe the two mesh well together, despite the collaborations Ms Haughton did in the past. It would have been much better to leave the single as is out of respect for Ms Haughton and her family. Just a thought. Oprah Winfrey appears to be on the way to becoming the queen of social media as well. She tweeted several pictures of she and Rihanna. Rihanna will appear on the next "Oprah's Next Chapter" soon. On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Bachelor Pad" on ABC and "Summer Olympics" on NBC. Happy Monday!
