Monday Memo

The film "Jack The Giant Slayer" topped the weekend box office, earning over $28 million. "Identify Thief", "21 And Over", "The Last Exorcism Pt 2" and "Snitch" round out the top five films of the week. Sad news out of the world of R&B. Bobby Rogers, founding member of the Motown group the Miracles has died after a brief illness. He was 73. He formed the group in Detroit with Smokey Robinson, cousin Claudette Robinson, Pete  Moore and Ronnie White. The group signed with Motown and went on to have such hits as "Shop Around", "The Tracks Of My Tears" and "I Second That Emotion". The group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but Rogers was too ill to attend the ceremony. No funeral details have been revealed. No Limit Records is mourning the last of a colleague. No Limit artist Mr. Magic was killed in a car accident along with his wife Chastity. The only survivor was the couples 12-year-old daughter. No funeral arrangements have been announced. Just when it looked like a G-Unit reunion wouldn't happen, rapper 50 stated that there is a reunion in the works for the near future. It will include all former members of the rap collective.  Singer Rihanna appears on the cover of the  next issue of Elle. She, of course, discussed her relationship with Chris Brown and what's next for her. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Bachelor" on ABC and  "The Biggest Loser" on NBC. Happy Monday!
