Wednesday Roundup

Rapper Chief Keef has had another  run in with the law. The Chicago native was arrested for smoking marijuana in an Atlanta hotel. As to be expected, he was none too pleased with being arrested. He even took to Twitter to tweet about the incident saying "Just got out of DeKalb County Jail in Atlanta. Mad as f***". It's unclear what impact this latest arrest will have on  his legal status in his hometown. In March, he completed a 60-day sentence for probation violation stemming from a 2012 gun charge. Meanwhile, rapper Lil Scrappy appears to be headed for rehab. The "Love & Hip Hop" Atlanta" star failed a drug test which found marijuana in his system. He will enter a treatment facility prior to his next hearing in June. Despite his troubles, he remains positive tweeting "Thank you God for your love and grace". Nearly two years after his untimely death, Floyd Myers, the brother of rapper Dwight "Heavy D" Myers, has filed court documents that will ensure that Heavy's 13-year-old daughter will inherit his estate. The family stands behind the decision. Following his death, Heavy's "personal belongings" were placed in storage. The 44-year-old collapsed outside his Beverly Hills home on November 8, 2011, and was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. An autopsy performed confirmed a pulmonary embolism as the cause of death. Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin will be taking some time off. Franklin will reschedule some shows and rest during the month of June before resuming her tour in July. David Brokaw, a spokesperson for the 77-year-old legend confirmed the month-long hiatus. Although no reason was given, earlier in the month Franklin announced the cancellation of shows in Chicago and Connecticut to undergone medical treatment for an undisclosed aliment. She appeared on the season finale of "American Idol" via satellite and recently pulled out of a June 26 gig at the Ottawa Jazz Festival. The last few years have been challenging for the singer, who has been fiercely private about her health. After a health scare in 2010, she reemerged 85 pounds lighter. She has since changed her diet and works to keep the weight off, which she described as a "up and down thing". On the tube: "Master Chef" on Fox, "Two And A Half Men" on CBS, "The Middle" on ABC and "Dateline NBC" on NBC. Happy hump day!
