Friday Facts

Sad news out of hip hop. Rapper Meek Mill is mourning the lost of protégé Lil Snupe. The teen rapper was gunned down in  a Louisiana home he was visiting. He was signed to Meek's Dream Chasers Records, whose roster includes Jahlil beats, Lee Mazin, Louie V Butta and Goldie. Meek sent out a tweet asking that the young rapper contact him in confusion over  his death. No word on suspects in the case. Some media outlets are reporting that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their baby girl North West, although no one in the couple's camp has confirmed this. At any rate, congratulations to the couple. Rumors of a collaboration between rapper/singer Wyclef Jean and actress Amanda Bynes were shut down by Jean's representatives who told TMZ there is no collaboration. The actress has been the focus of a lot of media attention for erratic behavior. She dispelled a rumor that she's signed a deal with Chinga Chang Records saying she hasn't spoken to anyone from the label. She did say that she looks forward to touring and seeing her fans at her concerts. A crazed fan recently sent a message to rapper J. Cole demanding that he send a retweet or he was going to shoot his sister. A photograph posted shows the young man  holding a gun to his sister's head. The gun turned out to be a BB gun. In other J. Cole news, the Rock Nation artist recently went on a Twitter rant, indicating his disdain for critics. Cole is in the middle of pushing his sophomore effort "Born Sinner", which has taken the number two spot on Billboard's chart behind Kanye West. Rapper Khia recently took to Twitter to lash out at singer Beyoncé saying she stole rapper Lil Kim's fan moniker. Of course, Beyoncé fans went on the defense. Khia, however wasn't shaken, even tweeting a phone number and email address. No comment from Beyoncé. In theaters this weekend: "Monsters University", "World War Z" and "The Bling Ring". On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "Undercover Boss" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "Dateline NBC" on NBC. Make it a weekend!
