Monday Madness
The film "Shutter Island" remained at number one for a second straight week raking in 22.2 million raising it's ten day total to 75.1 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. "Cop Out", "The Crazies", "Avatar" and "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" round out the top films of the week. Rumor has it rapper 50 Cent is unhappy with his current label, Interscope, and may be trying to work out a deal to leave. We'll see what happens with that. The rapper has been with the label for some time. Tyler Perry picked up several awards at Friday's NAACP Image Awards, which aired on Fox. The film "Prescious" was also a big winner, winning for Best Picture and Outstanding Actress, among others. Congradulations to singer/songwriter/producer The Dream and singer Christina Milan. The two became the parents of a baby girl. All are doing well. Be sure to tune into Fox's "American Idol". It will be another round of performances, followed by viewer votes. It will be interesting to see who stays and who goes this time around. On the tube: "House" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Batchlor: On The Wings Of Love" on ABC and "Chuck" on NBC. Happy Monday!
