Monday Memo
"Despicable Me" topped the weekend box office, earning over 60 million dollars. "Twilight Saga: Eclipse", "Predators", "Toy Story 3" and "The Last Airbender" round out the top five films of the week. Singer Rihanna has cancelled three more dates on her current tour. It's been rumored that the cancelled dates are due to low ticket sales, but the offical reason given was so that the singer could complete work on a new album. Rapper Snoop Dog is being sued by a former member of jazz great Miles Davis' band for copyright infringment. The musician claims the rapper sampled a Miles Davis song without permission. Representatives for Snoop Dog have not commented on the suit. Rocker Brett Michaels has new music in the works and plans to tour to promote the project. Fans will recall the singer suffered a brain hemerrage and later had a stroke. The singer is doing well and ready to hit the concert trail. Be sure to catch the film "Inception" starring Leonardo DiCaprio when it hits your local cineplex. The film is part sci-fi fantasy, part gun-toting heist pic and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers will guest star on an August episode of TV Land's "Hot In Cleveland" as Valerie Bertinelli's son. The show airs on TV Land on Monday at 9:00 P.M. On the tube: "Lie To Me" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Batchelorette" on ABC and "America's Got Talent" on NBC. Happy Monday!
