Wednesday Roundup

Fans of the hit BET reality series "Tiny & Toya" will be disappointed to know that the show has been cancelled and will not return. However, rumor has it that a spin off of the series featuring Toya Carter, ex-wife of rapper Lil Wayne, may premiere soon. BET has neither confirmed nor denied the rumor. More hopefuls auditioned for season ten of Fox's "American Idol" in Milwaulkee today. You'll see who made the grade when the show returns this fall. Several hit shows have seasons released on dvd. Be sure to pick up your favorites at your local video store. The family of late mobster John Gotti is not pleased with rapper Rick Ross deciding to name his latest cd, "Teflon Don". The grandson of the mobster who aquired the nickname for his ability to beat cases in the 1980's, was quoted as saying that Ross should just be himself. Gotti died in prison of throat cancer. Several dates on the "American Idols Live" tour have been cancelled and others rescheduled due to low ticket sales. Ratings for the Fox hit have taken a nose dive in recent years, but there has been no confirmation whether that is the reason for the low ticket sales. The summer movie season rolls along with the release of Angelina Jolie's latest film "Salt". It's an action adventure film filled with one surprise after another. Be sure to catch it at your local cineplex. On the tube: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox, "Big Brother 12" on CBS, "The  Middle" on ABC and "Minute To Win It" on NBC. Happy hump day!
