Tuesday Tales

The nasty custody battle between actress Halle Berry and the father of her child has finally ended. It's been ruled that the star can move to France with the child, after it was determined that the father of the child has no means of financially caring for the child. Berry, meanwhile, wants to move with the child and her new beau to France to get away from Hollywood. So far, no comment from either party on the matter. Rapper  Nicki Minaj has apologized to fans for bowing out of the recent Hot 97 Summer Jam show. As mentioned previously, Minaj took offense when a Hot 97 DJ reportedly referred to her latest single "Starships" as wack. She said she wouldn't go against mentor Lil Wayne's word when he tweeted that the Young Money crew wouldn't appear on the show. Minaj may make it up to fans by performing a free concert in New York City soon. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has gotten herself in some  hot water. The Oscar winner tweeted a picture of Jay Z and Kanye West with the caption, "N**** In Paris", which is the name of a single featuring the pair. The problem is, she spelled the N word out. She's standing by her decision by saying it's the name of the song. Fans will be happy to know that former Ruff Ryders rappers DMX, Eve and Jadakiss have all been added to the Rock The Bells tour. The show has been expanded to a second day, the first time in it's history. A huge line up of hip hop's best will be included and it should be a treat for fans. Money can buy everything but class for sure. Evelyn Lozada and Chad Ochocinco are in the middle of filming their reality  series spin off of "Basketball Wives", which will include their upcoming nuptials. The problem is, several Miami hotels have barred the two from their facilities, saying they don't want their hotels portrayed in a negative light. At any rate, congratulations to the happy couple. Kirko Bangz is certainly making his presence felt in the industry. After topping the charts with the hit "Drank In My Cup", the Houston born and bred MC is preparing to release his debut album, although there's no title as yet. During an interview with bet.com, the MC said fans can expect the album either the latter of this year, or the beginning of next. It should be a hit with many across the country. Singer Chris Brown is at it again. It seems his Twitter account has become the official staging of his public disputes. Veteran R&B singer Brian McKnight was his focal point this past weekend. To be fair, McKnight threw the first punch when he asked if his recent mixtape wasn't appropriate, what was. He mentioned singer R Kelly, then Brown. Brown, of course responded saying when people's careers get to nobody cares status, his name is used for publicity. This isn't the first Twitter beef Brown has gotten into. Fans will recall that he's gotten into Twitter spats with Odd Future, Frank Ocean, Meek Mill, ex-girlfriend Rihanna and John Legend, among others. It's time to grow up. Singer Bobby Brown has new music in stores this week. Brown's first album in quite some time "Masterpiece" has finally been released. On DVD: "John Carter", "Journey 2, Mysterious Island", "Safe House" and "Machine Gun Preacher". On the tube: "Hell's Kitchen" on Fox, "NCIS" on CBS, "Last Man Standing" on ABC and "America's Got Talent" on NBC. Happy Tuesday!
