Friday Facts
More details have emerged regarding rapper Flava Flav's recent arrest. The incident stems from an argument that erupted because his fiancee thought he was cheating on her. The woman says he pushed her to the ground, knocked out her earring, and when her son tried to intervene on her behalf, he began chasing the boy around the house with knives threatening to kill him. Flava Flav, of course, denies this. He's posted $23,000 bond and his due back in court in next week. A New York City nightclub wants rapper Rick Ross to pay up. This stems from a recent brawl at the Miami MC's birthday celebration. Several individuals in his entourage began fighting with other patrons before bouncers removed them from the club. So far, no response from Ross. Singer Rihanna's father can't seem to get enough of Chris Brown. He now says the family loves Brown and he'd like to see the two marry. No word on a wedding date yet. Pusha T now says he wasn't referring to rapper Lil Wayne on what some assumed was a diss track directed at the Young Money captain. In other Lil Wayne news, he shared his feelings regarding New York City after performing with Nicki Minaj at the Roseland Ballroom. The rapper told MTV News that he doesn't like New York, which sparked reactions ranging from a New York Senator asking for an apology to ordinary Big Apple folks feeling slighted. When asked about how he felt about the backlash, he admitted that he was unaware there was one. He went on to add that he says what he feels and f*** whomever doesn't like it. He has a negative history with the city that never sleeps due to a gun arrest at the Beacon Theater, for which he served time. Then there was the Hot 97 Summer Jam debacle with his artist Nicki Minaj and Peter Rosenberg, giving the star enough reason to not be fond of the place despite his many NY fans. Fellow rapper Fabolous recently released a track called "So NY", but Weezy doesn't seem fazed by it and says he doesn't have any beef with Fab. He added he's focused on getting better. Congratulations to rapper Drake are in order. The rapper recently received his high school diploma. He acted in the Canadian teen series "Degrassi: The Next Generation" from age 15 to 22, but never finished high school. He took to Twitter where he wrote about the experience. Congratulations again! In theaters this weekend: "Alex Cross" and "Paranormal Activity 4". On the tube: "MLB Baseball Live" on Fox, ":Hawaii Five-O" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "Grimm" on NBC. Make it a weekend!
