Monday Memo
"Shrek Forever After" is the box office king this week after taking in over 71 million dollars. "Iron Man 2", "Robin Hood", "Letters To Juliet" and "Just Wright" round out the top five films of the week. Be sure to catch the finales of "24" and "Dancing With The Stars", as both shows will have something to keep viewers glued to their seats. In other televison news, after 28 seasons "Law & Order" is hanging up it's badge. You can still catch the spin offs "Law & Order: SVU" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent", however. Former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland has inked a new deal with Universial/Motown Records. No word on when her first project for the label will be released. Rapper Lil Kim has signed a deal with Jay Z's Rock Nation and Jay Z will executive produce the rapper's debut project. No word on when it will be released. Rapper Wale has been called homophobic for backing out of a gay pride event in his hometown Washington DC. A rep for the rapper stated that he had to pull out due to an extensive tour and also wanted to work on his sophomore project and spend time with his family. Wale has not commented on the matter. Sad news out of Hollywood. The husband of actress Brittany Murphy was found dead in his home last night. The cause of death has not been determined. This happened six months after Ms Murphy's death. On the tube: "24" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars" on ABC and "Chuck" on NBC. Happy Monday!
