Wednesday Roundup
The top two contestants took the stage for viewer votes on last night's "American Idol" and be sure to catch tonight's results show. In addition to crowing the winner of the competition, Paula Abdul and others are slated to appear as well. Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger shimmied away with the mirror ball trophy on "Dancing With The Stars". It was an exciting season, to say the least. No word on when the next season will air. Be sure to catch the televison premiere of "Are We There Yet?", based on the film of the same name. It will air on TBS on June 2 and is executive produced by rapper/actor Ice Cube. Former drug king pin Freeway Ricky Ross is suing rapper Rick Ross for using his name to obtain a multimillion dollar recording contract in 2006. He has sent a cease and desist letter to Def Jam Records and it remains to be seen how the matter is going to play itself out. Stay tuned. Lauryn Hill will not headline the "Rock The Bells Tour" as previously reported. Wu Tang Clan and Rakim are among the artists slated to appear on the show, however. After judging singers on "American Idol", Ellen DeGeneres is preparing to start her own label. She announced on her talk show that she will start a label called eleveneleven and the first act signed will be Greyson Chance. He became a YouTube sensation with a piano version of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi". The label was started with Telepictures Productions. On the tube: "American Idol" on Fox, "Undercover Boss" on CBS, "Transformers" on ABC and "Minute To Win It" on NBC. Happy hump day!
