Thursday Dish

Casey James was eliminated on last night's "American Idol", bringing the series finale down to Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze. The two will square off next week for the coveted grand prize, which will be a recording contract. In other televison news, VH1 will begin airing the new season of "VH1"s Behind The Music" beginning June 7. Among the subjects profiled on the show will be: DMX and Mile Cyrus, among others. Networks also have several new shows ready to air as well. Among the new jacks to hit the small screen will be: the remake of the 1970's hit, "Hawaii 5.0" and "$ My Dad Says". It remains to be seen which shows will cut the mustard.  Time will tell. Sean "Diddy" Combs reportedly is the number one replacement choice for "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell. No word on whether the rumor mill is true or false, we'll have to stay tuned as the story develops. Funny man Conan O'Brien says he's not sweating his new gig at TBS, saying he's put together plenty of material for his upcoming new show. The comic has been touring the country and his new shows airs on TBS four nights a week at 11 pm starting in November. Talib Kweli & Hi Tek have released a new CD, "Revolutions Per Minute", the long awaited follow up to their debut, "Train Of Thought". The pair say the key to getting the new project done was commitment from both, as they each had individual success. On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "The Mentalist" on CBS, "Flashforward" on ABC and "Community" on NBC. Happy Thursday!
