Friday Facts
A Atlanta judge has thrown out a lawsuit filed against rapper Rick Ross. As mentioned previously, a neighbor sued the Miami rapper when his pit bulls escaped his mansion and killed her york shire terrier. The suit was thrown out because the woman didn't follow the correct procedure when filing the suit. The Ross camp tried to handle the matter by paying the vet bill, but Ross' lawyer says the plaintive is trying to capitalize on the incident. Singer R Kelly is now recuperating at home after emergency throat surgery. The singer had a abscess removed from his tonsils. It's unclear when his current concert tour will resume, as he's missed several dates due to his illness. If you asked his neighbors, they'd probably tell you Chris Brown is the neighbor from hell. Several complaints have been made by tenants at his California condo saying Brown races dogs up and down hallways, blasts music day and night and parks in handicap spaces. Brown took to his Twitter account to voice his opinion on the matter. It's unclear if or when any legal action will be taken. Although Sean Kingston has been resting at home following his jet ski accident, it appears it's not behind him yet. The singer met with investigators who are looking into the accident. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Committee could site Kingston for violations if he's found to have been operating his vehicle carelessly or driving in excess of the speed limit. He was released from the hospital on July 4 after recovering from critical condition. The passenger on the jet ski, Kingston's friend Cassandra Sanchez has chosen not to press charges. After being released from an Arizona prison this week, rapper DMX dispelled rumors he'll sign with Rick Ross' Maybach Music. While he would not confirm or deny whether a meeting took place, or a deal is in place, when asked he simply responded that he probably would not release his next album on Maybach Music. He says his next release will bring hip hop back. There's been no announcement regarding a release date, however. All five members of Cleveland rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will reunite as part of the second annual Homecoming concert. The group will perform in its hometown Cleveland. Drake will also perform at the show celebrating the city's 215th birthday. Drake and the members of the group are excited about the upcoming event. It will certainly be a treat for all who attend. In theaters this weekend: "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Friends With Benefits". On the tube: "Bones" on Fox, "Flashpoint" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "Who Do You Think You Are?" on NBC. Make it a weekend!
