Friday Facts
Chris Brown and Rihanna unfollowed each other after a freestyle Brown did over Kanye West's "Way Too Cold" hit airwaves. Some speculate that Brown threw a few jabs at his ex in the song. He took to Twitter to address the rumors by saying that if anyone was offended, then it's something they feel guilty about. Only time will tell where things will go from here, so stay tuned. Authorities in Irvine CA pulled the plug on rapper Drake's recent concert. They stopped the show fearing that neighbors would complain about the noise. The show also featured J. Cole, Waka Floka Flame and 2 Chainz. Drizzy took to Twitter to apologize to fans and thank them for coming out. Meanwhile, lablemate Nicki Minaj appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" earlier this week and stated that one of her long term goals is motherhood. No word on when she plans to start her family. The talk continues regarding Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's relationship. Recently, West released a freestyle stating he'd like to march down the isle with the reality star. No word on a wedding date as yet. As mentioned previously, Andre 300 is slated to portray the late Jimi Hendrix in a biopic about the guitar god's life in London. Now, the late guitarist estate is saying they haven't approved the biopic, so it remains to be seen when or if the project sees the light of day. Is Sean "Diddy" Combs paying for air time? According to a gossip blogger, a executive at BET stated that Combs paid to have Cassie's latest single put in rotation on "106 & P ark", despite that fact that the single isn't doing well on the charts. Combs hasn't responded to the allegation. Rapper Jay Z continues to build his empire. He's reportedly inked a deal for his own brand of Cognac. The alcoholic beverage will reportedly cost $49.00 each. No word on when fans can pick up a bottle in their favorite store. Fans who've been wondering where rapper Shawnna has been lately should wonder no more. During a recent interview with "The Breakfast Club" morning show, she discussed her hiatus, her relationship with mentor Ludacris and industry sexism. Although it appears that the "What's Your Fantasy" rapper may have never been given a fair shot, she stated that female artists who speak up for themselves are shut down. She also shut down past rumors about signing with T-Pain and Rick Ross. Her goal as she prepares for a long-awaited comeback, she says, is to flood the industry with her material. At any rate, it's great to have her back on the scene. Holly Cavanaugh was sent packing on last night's "American Idol". Tune in next week as the remaining three contestants sing for votes and the grand prize. In theaters this weekend: "Dark Shadows". On the tube: "The Finder" on Fox, "Undercover Boss" on CBS, "Shark Tank" on ABC and "Who Do You Think You Are?" on NBC. Make it a weekend!
