Monday Memo
The film "Think Like A Man" topped the weekend box office, earning over $33 million dollars. "The Lucky One", "The Hunger Games", "Chimpanzee" and "The Three Stooges" round out the top five films of the week. Former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight has fueled speculation regarding whether rapper Tupac Shakur is alive by saying the MC was not shot in 1996, and that he paid a man to cremate the rapper, but never heard from him. Fans will recall a hologram of the rapper/actor was featured at the recent Cochella Festival, with the approval of his mother Afeni Shakur, of course. During a recent interview with the Morning Riot Show on Chicago's WGCI, rapper T.I. weighed in on the brewing beef between Azealia Banks and his artist Iggy Azalea. He made it clear he's aware of the beef, but wants the ladies to settle it between them. He was apparently thrown in the middle of the beef when Banks posted a tweeted making some disparaging remarks about him on Twitter. Tip went to say that if Banks has a man, she should have him address him. Stay tune, as there's no telling where things will go from here. Chris Brown fans who have been counting down the days until the release of the follow-up to his Grammy-winning album F.A.M.E. will have to adjust their calendars. The singer broke the news via Twitter that the album has been delayed until July 3. Three singles have been released from the project, including "Turn Up The Music", "Sweet Love" and "Til I Die". He's also among the star-studded cast of the hit film "Think Like A Man", which topped the box office over the weekend. After wrapping up a recent performance at the Coachella Festival, rapper/producer Dr Dre shut down rumors that the hologram of the late Tupac Shakur will be taken on tour. In a video message, he stated that if a tour happens, we'll see. It was just for Coachella. The arrival of the hologram caused quite a stir on the internet, and drew praise from the rapper's mother. On the tube: "House" on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "Dancing With The Stars" on ABC and 'The Voice" on NBC. Happy Monday!
