Singer Jennifer Hudson broke down in tears during her testimony in the trial of the man who murdered her mother, brother and nephew. Hudson stated that the family didn't want her sister to marry William Balford, the man accused of the slayings, and she kept her distance. Rapper Drake has gone in on David Getty saying the singer's music lacks soul. In the meantime, lablemate Nicki Minaj confirmed that she didn't close her Twitter account because her music was leaked, she did it because she needed time to herself. As mentioned previously, the rapper had over 11 million followers on the social networking site, and it remains to be seen when and if she'll return. Rapper Lil Kim has just released a new single and will reportedly hit the road this summer. No dates and locations have been announced at press time. Legendary musician Chuck Brown, known as the "Godfather of Go Go", a form of funk music that originated in Washington DC, has cancelled a show due to joint pain and inflammation that prevents him from performing. Brown was scheduled to perform at the newly renovated Howard Theater, near the campus of Howard University, however the show has been pushed back to June. The singer's camp released a statement thanking fans for their prayers. This isn't the first time Brown has been forced to cancel a show due to health issues. In early March he cancelled a show after his doctor ordered him to rest a few days. Singer Fantasia has returned to social networking site Twitter. She updated fans on her new baby boy, new music, and issued an apology for what some consider a shot at singer R. Kelly during a recent concert. Pilar Sanders, the wife of Dion Sanders, was arrested for domestic violence. Dion claims Pilar and a friend jumped him while he was in bed. Dion's son reportedly witnessed the assault, and pictures of he and his son filling out paper work have surfaced on the internet. No word yet on a sentencing hearing. Either Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are dating, or it's a publicity stunt. Kardashian has spotted wearing gold earrings with the initials kw on them. Bishop T.D. Jakes graces the cover of the latest issue of Jet magazine. The Bishop discusses his success behind the pulpit, as well as in the entertainment industry and what's in his future. The latest issue of Jet magazine is on newsstands now. Rapper Wale made his third appearance on ESPN's "First Take", and made a bet that he'd cut his hair if quarterback Tim Tebow starts more than six games this season. He's placing bets on Mark Sanchez having a productive, injury free season. He's one of a few rapper who have appeared on the cable show, including Joe Budden, Nelly, Lil Wayne, LL Cool J, Common and Bow Wow. It was Motown night on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars", and Smokey Robinson and Motown founder Berry Gordy were in attendance. The contestants showed off their best foot work, and tonight the results will be revealed. Be sure to tune in. On DVD: "Contraband", "Dark Tide", "Pariah" and "The Innkeepers". Tonight's episode of "Glee" will pay tribute to the late Whitney Houston. Fans will recall that a prior episode was dedicated to the star.
