The rapper will serve a ninety day sentence. Here's hoping he will at that point turn his life around. Rapper G Dep has been convicted of a 1993 murder. Fans will recall that the rapper turned himself into New York City authorities in connection with the slaying. He was convicted of killing John Henkle during a botched robbery attempt. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison. His sentencing hearing is set for May 8. Due to his good behavior, rapper T.I. will now have an opportunity to spend more time outside the state of Georgia. He will now be allowed to spend 12 days outside the state instead of 7. Mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs landed at the number one spot of Forbes magazine's list of wealthiest hip hop artists. He was followed by Dr Dre, Jay Z, Bryan "Birdman" Williams and 50 Cent. Expect to see Nicki Minaj on the list next year. She's inked a deal to endorse a line of perfume. With all the rumors about his romance with Kim Kardashian swirling around the entertainment industry, the tabloids and the internet, rapper Kanye West recently set the record straight by saying he never compared their relationship to that of Jay Z and Beyonce's and if he puts a story to rhyme on Twitter, then it's true. At any rate, best wishes to the couple. It looks like rapper Bow Wow is off the hook now. Fans will recall that the Young Money artist was sued by a Tennessee tour bus company claiming that he owned them money, but refused to pay. He wouldn't cooperate with courts, so a warrant for his arrest was issued. According to a recent notice, he's made good on the debt and has paid up in full. That means he will be able to return to the state of Georgia without the threat of an arrest. For its May issue, rap magazine XXL is going live, and has tapped none other than Lil Wayne to lead the coverage. Weezy graces the cover of the magazine's special issue dedicated to the state of live hip hop. The photo features the New Orleans native in the throes of a performance. Inside, fans can find coverage of the recent SXSW music conference, which featured performances from rap heavyweights Jay Z, Eminem, 50 Cent, Weezy and more. The May issue of XXL magazine hits newsstands on April 24. Rap newcomers Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller have announced a planned tour together, which should be a hit with fans of both artist.
