Rapper Big Boi of Outkast has stated that his record label didn't want partner Andre 3000 on his solo album. The rapper is signed as a solo artist to Def Jam Records, while Outkast as a group, is signed to Jive Records. Singer R Kelly will perform a song for the 2010 World Cup called "A Sign Of A Victory". The singer/songwriter is hoping the song will have the same uplifting message as his 1996 single "I Believe I Can Fly". Be sure to catch the Tony Awards on CBS this Sunday. It will be Broadway's biggest night, and the show is sure to be an exciting one. Fans of the "Twilight" saga will be happy to know that two more films will be shot for the franchise. The first film has the original cast returing and will be released on November 18, 2011. Production is slated to begin this fall. Director Bill Condon will direct both films. With summer in full swing, the networks have aired quite a few summer shows to keep viewers tuned in. It remains to be seen which shows have made the grade and which ones will bite the dust fairly quickly. So far, Fox's "Good Guys" appears to be an instant hit with fans. As for others, we'll have to wait and see. In theaters this weekend: "The Karate Kid" and "The A Team". On the tube: "House" on Fox, "Medium" on CBS, "World Cup Kickoff Celebration Concert" on ABC and "Friday Night Lights" on NBC. Make it a weekend!
