Monday Memo

For the third week in a row "Shrek Forever After" topped the box office, earning over 25 million dollars. "Get Him to the Greek", "Killers", "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" and "Sex and the City 2" round out the top five films of the week. The MTV Movie Awards aired last night, with Tom Cruise, Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Lopez among those in attendance. Singer Maria Carey has been replaced on the next Tyler Perry project. Fans will recall that the singer pulled out of the project, causing rumors to swirl that she is expecting. It's been confirmed, as mentioned previously, that she is expecting twins. Be sure to check out the latest issue of Jet magazine on newstands now and featuring singer Erykah Badu. The singer talks about music, motherhood and the controversy over her "Window Seat" video. Queen Latifah graces the cover of the latest issue of Upscale magazine. The rapper/actress talks music, movies and why she never discusses her private life. Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs is on the cover of the lates issue of XXL magazine. The mogul discusses his business empire and what's in his future. Be sure to tune in to the new season of "VH 1's Behind The Music" airing tonight. Rapper DMX, Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson are among the artists that will be profiled on the show.
