Monday Memo

"Toy Story 3" topped the weekend box office earning over 109 million dollars. "The Karate Kid", "The A Team", "Get Him to the Greek" and "Shrek Forever After" round out the top five films of the week. A scheduled performance in New York City by rapper 50 Cent was cancelled due to low ticket sales.  A surprise performance by rapper Jay Z,  which was to take place on top of the marquee at the Ed Sullivan Theater today, was cancelled due to the chaos at rapper Drake's show earlier in the week. The performance was to take place during "The Late Show With David Letterman" in the middle of rush hour in Manhattan. A spokeswoman stated that there was discussion of a show and it was decided that no permit would be given. A BET Awards pre-show and it's line up of stars has been announced. N.E.R.D. and Soulja Boy will take the stage at the  pre-show, which is sure to get viewers excited and ready for the main event. Other performers on the show include: SoSo Def recording artist Dondria performing with CEO Jermaine Dupri, Roscoe Dash, Cali Swag and Grand Hustle's newest signee B.o.B. The show will air on Sunday June 27, at 6:00 P.M. on BET. Emmy award time will arrive soon, and it's anyone's guest who will come away a big winner. One contender is Chandra Wilson of "Gey's Anatomy". The Season finale of the series was heartwretching. On the tube: "Lie to Me' on Fox, "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, "The Bachelorette" on ABC and "Last Comic Standing" on NBC. Happy Monday!
